  "Lord Motonari!" Hanbei was excited to compare their adventures in the mainland, especially with Alola's League apparently being so different from the other regions. Though he had gotten back the day before, 'jet lag' was no joke, especially for someone who always was tired, like Hanbei. Well, he figured a day and a half of nothing but sleeping was enough, and he was ready to show Motonari his team, and see the others as well.

  "First things first, did you get a Pokedex?"

  "Nyah, I don't wanna stop. It's purrfectly harmless fun!"

  Ah, and to think he had been doing pretty good avoiding Hideyoshi, being in a different kingdom and all. It was hard to do that when he specifically came to visit him though. He hadn't told anyone he was avoiding him, after all, so it wasn't anyone's fault. Just bad luck, he guessed. Hanbei was facing away from Hideyoshi, trying to pretend he wasn't there, but that wasn't easy. He can only do it for so long, and finally turns his head to look at him over his shoulder.

  "What are you doing here?" His voice grows quite quiet. "Don't you---?" Ah, his voice cracked. Hanbei looked away once more, his voice shaky when he tried asking again.

  "Don't you find me gross....?"

  Of course Takakage was in the library. Hanbei's glad it was the first place he looked, though it took him a few tries to find it. He waits for the other to notice him, knowing it may take a bit and using the time to properly get his thoughts together. Unfortunately, when he does realize Hanbei's there, he's so nervous that he doesn't even give him a chance to speak, blurting out what he wants to say.

  "Do you think I can ask you a few questions?" He sighs to himself in embarrassment, pulling his hat down to cover his face again as he speak up once more. "You don't gotta answer them if you don't want to....."

  "Hey, Lord Takakage, I've been wondering for a while now, but, uh---" He points to the fish swimming around in the pond. "What Pokemon are those anyways? I mean, they kinda look familiar, but...."

  Hanbei's confused for a few moments before it hits him, and the realization leaves an almost bitter taste in his mouth. But that wasn't right. Shouldn't be be happy Hideyoshi didn't understand? Or maybe he just wanted so desperately for him to, now that those words had left his lips, finally spoken aloud. He looks away before steeling his nerves.

  "Th-there was another thing I was supposed to do, but I--- I didn't want to just---- didn't want to just do it without your permission. Since I know it will probably make you uncomfortable. I'm, uh-----" Get it over with Hanbei. "I'm supposed to kiss you."

  "You got a book I could borrow for a bit, Lord Motonari?" He's got an amaryllis in one hand and the book he had brought with him from Ignis in the other. "I'm running outta room in mine."
