I love this so much. As a chance to see more of you, and how much I can connect w/many of the things listed. I’m also at fault for #3, where I have invalidated others’ experiences in lieu of my own, but I’m always battling to better myself every day.

To be honest, Wayfaring, med school admissions have changed since you applied! The field has become more competitive, but I liked the experiment nonetheless.

I'm only 7 years down the road from my med school application process. The application process has not become exponential more difficult in 7 years, I can guarantee you.
But if it makes you feel any better - I looked up the most updated MSAR stats for my medical school. They have not changed significantly from when I applied.
EDIT: Also, the point of the original post still applies: even if my stats are terrible for this newfangled med school app world, SDN is still a ruthless place for premeds.

Nope. I want a cat most days, but I've never taken care of a pet and I feel like I'd do a poor job of it so as much as I want one I probably won't get one.

Someone who is genuine in everything that they are, no fakeness, no ulterior motives. I love that in anybody.
Do you have any siblings? How is your relationship with them?
Yes! I have one older sister. She's fantastic. Stubborn. Dorky. Innocent. We were like bffs growing up, and then she hit middle school and I became the annoying little sister (which I most definitely was) and we fought our way through middle and high school (she's 4.5 years older). When she got to college, the separation helped and we mellowed out, even moreso when I got to college. Now that she's moved out into her own place, we get along the best we ever have since we were kids. We're very different and also very similar; like the aspects of us that are different are very different, and the aspects that are similar are very similar. I love her though, she's great.
