THROW VISION : HELLO MORNING
Around a year ago, I was surfing the internet trying to find music for meditation and relaxation purposes, a piece of beautiful musical that would be so full of heart and soul, and completely take me away to a different place, this is exactly what this track “Hello Morning (Sunrise)” is by the band “Throw Vision”. This track starts off with a combination of sparodic instruments accompanied by the leading ladies stunning vocals, however midway through the song, it almost reaches climax level with instruments and electric guitars been thrown in from different angles, it is truly a masterpiece and takes you on a wonderful journey.
Last weekend was the bomb. Throw Vision is my new band crush, Nola, Darling remains my favorite Manhattan venue, and Brain-Cave was bonkers.
We’re back at again this Thursday at The Gutter in Williamsburg with Annique Monet. We play at 8:45 - come through friends!
We receive seismic vibrations that inspire movement and conjure telescopic visualization. Come prepared to dance. \\Slackgaze presents\\ Trak Joy Throw Vision SoftSpot as "Studies for Figure Painting" Little Shaman The Pluto Moons
April is turning out to be an incredible month of shows. The above photo was taken at The Hum, a collaborative music series this month that Alex got to participate in on Monday night with a shit ton of amazing female musicians.
We’ve got big shows this weekend as well, get ready!
Tomorrow night (Friday 4/24): We're playing Throw Vision's 7" vinyl release at one of our favorite venues - Nola, Darling. We play at 9, show starts at 7:30 with a set by Shy Hunters. More info here Sunday night (4/26): We're opening night 2 of the incredible Brain-Cave Festival at Baby's All Right. 8pm sharp, check out the insane lineup here. I hear there will be 360 degree live projections, and that's just the tip of the ice berg! If you're weekend is booked, there's more next week... On Thursday (4/30): We'll be playing The Gutter (Williamsburg) with Annique Monet and Street Smells. 9pm. Watch a show, do some bowling, can’t go wrong.
Throw Vision!
In some very exciting news, Brooklyn band Throw Vision has been added to the bill for the Kosmosis Zine Launch Party at King's County on 9/28! This is gonna be one for the ages. Here is a clown-faced gypsy child to remind you that beautiful things still exist in the world:
Throw Vision are some seriously talented ladies and gents, featuring Tiff O on lead vox & guitar, multi-instrumentalist Taja Cheek on keys, bass, vox, synths, and guitar, Daniel Kleederman on lead guitar, bass, and vox, and Alex Goldberg on drums & percussives. Their sound is decidedly undefinable, which, of course, we love. Think melodious harmonies, fractals and other naturally occurring mathematic phenomena, clever lyrical journeys, changes and revelations, all performed by a hypnotic and alluring veiled lady in a smokey jazz club in the East Village, back when it was still cool. Or something along those lines. Anyway, you should probably just come to the show and experience it for yourself. You will be glad you did. You can check out their debut album, In I, here, and you can watch their music video for "Hippocampus" below:
