A REPRESENTATION AND DESCRIPTION of the URIM AND THUMMIN from a Rare German Alchemical Manuscript
The above illustration exhibits a correct view of the Urim and Thummim; it consists of a pedestal formed according to the rules of the magical science, of a composition termed by the theurgists, electrum magicum, with the word + Elohim + on the pedestal; in the centre of this is placed a pillar, which supports an oval chrystal [sic], or polished surface set in gold, and around which must be inscribed the mighty name of supreme majesty Tetragrammon. Round it are five small chrystals [sic], to represent the animal, vegetable, mineral, and astral kingdoms, and the one on top to represent the △ of the Lord. The whole must be preserved in a case free from dust.
