Posting Menthuribles cool-as-fuck shiny seperatley so I can talk about it more. I wanted an early Ice type and needed a design that wouldn't seem out of place if it was encountered away from any snow or ice. Mint is regarded as being a "cold" flavour so an early plant mon could work nicely. I was side-tracked by spearmint, taking that literally to design a chevalier but I wanted a special focus and struggled to incorporate an aromatic aspect into the design. Messing around with head shapes I gave it a pointed snoot and realised I could make it a plague doctors mask, since they were stuffed with herbs. Then I added the incense burner (a thurible) to expand on that theme since I guess it was fresh in my mind after playing Blaspheous 2. Incidentally this is the second fakemon i've designed for Tresto that swings a big thing around but the first to be completed and whilst it's also the first i've shown off to use the move Aromagic, it's a move that was made for something else.
