Mac may be okay, but Tibs and Silas are a different species. They leave a cookie cutter scar on your neck with no magic ibuprofen to patch it up. Mac got lucky and has the glamour of Tepes vampires, but not those ancient dudes.

I imagine him finding a sword or something of the like in a museum, labeled [Genuine gladiator shortsword, circa 30 AD]

He would let out a forceful sigh, almost as if the breath had been knocked from his lungs. Not knowing whether to laugh at the absurdity of finding this specific item after so very long, two entities hurled randomly through the world at varying velocities only to find they had bumped into each other again in this very place and time - or to cry at the state of it, the deterioration that served as reflection and opposite of his own pristine yet antique condition.

He would greet it like an old friend: “There you are, old thing! Time has not been kind to you, has it?” “You understand me, don’t you, having seen the same millennia I have?” And he would reminisce about when he had first received the sword upon his rank placement in the military, feeling almost as young again as when it first occurred. 

Then he’ll see the label and get annoyed, and debate on whether to correct them, take the sword home with him, or let the humans believe whatever they want about it, since it will hardly make a difference.

Both, honestly. Tad would love it of its punn-y-ness, and Tibs would just to see Astin’s reaction.
