I got carried away with the Dream Home Decorator pack this weekend, and re-built Tidal Tower.
After a relaxing break at home in Sulani, Rayne returned to Britechester for his second term (of 4 terms total by the way, as Rayne decided to take on fewer classes at once after his, according to him, disastrous grades).
He stayed in the Tidal Tower for this term and had quickly unpacked. It appeared he was one of the first roommates to arrive (Takumi wasn't there yet) and he decided to go and check the menu of the cafetaria, hoping to see a few more healthy alternatives this time (his health nut lifestyle gave him quite some stress the previous term).
"Hey boyfriend," he suddenly heard, spoken by a soft voice. He turned to see Mao standing in the doorway of the mini-flat she shared with Abbie.
Rayne (surprised): "Hi!"
Mao (looking at him seductively): "I've missed you..."
Rayne (still surprised): "You did? I... missed you too!"
Mao (winking): "Great! Come in, Abbie's only arriving this evening..."
Rayne had just told her a lie. While he had been in Sulani, he hadn't really missed Mao. They had exchanged a few messages everyday, both texts and pictures, but Rayne hadn't missed her. And why did she call him boyfriend? He wasn't looking for a relationship... Still, she looked beautiful as ever and he simply couldn't resist her invitation.
As soon as he had entered the mini-flat, Mao closed the door and kissed him. Her sweet smell, the softness of her lips, the warm touch of her hands on his body. The slight guilt he had felt because of his lie, melted away as his desire started to burn.
Words weren't needed when Mao took him by the hand and led him to the bathroom. By the time they had undressed, they were both ravenous for each other and happily continued where they had left of in the closet of Pepper's Pub...

Packs used under the cut:
Before Rayne knew it, the end of his first term at university arrived. He had a few final exams to do, his term paper had been handed in... And with everything else he was doing, he had failed to go in to present his (outstanding) presentation in time.
When he realised this error, stress and fear formed a huge knot in his stomach. Oh no... He felt nauseous as he made his way to his final exams, trying to breathe and concentrate on the exam instead of worrying about failing the other course.
His grades were pretty decent, with 2 A+'s, but Rayne could barely contain a yelp of disappointment. A minus? A minus?? A MINUS?
That wouldn't do, not at all! He felt dizzy and was angry at himself. "Breathe, man, breathe," he told himself and he moved to his yoga mat. It took him a very long session, but in the end, he managed to clear his mind and calm down.
He would better manage his time next term, he had to get better grades or the perfectionist in him would... Let's not think about it... Breathe in... and breathe out...
Between all the classes, homework, soccer practices and cleaning Rayne did, he also had to write a term paper and prepare a term presentation. Furiously, he'd gather information and tried to organise everything on his presentation board, only to scrap most of it and start all over. Twice. When our little perfectionist was finally satisfied with his presentation board, he took on the daunting task of writing and perfecting his term paper. He worked until late at night to get it just right.
Rayne's university life wasn't only about studying. He loved to be active on campus too. For one of his scholarships, he had to join the Foxbury soccer team and as he had never touched a soccer ball before on Sulani, he was a little bit nervous about it first.
Whenever Rayne was nervous, tense, sad or angry, he'd go for a jog, a habit he had developed as a teen. He really enjoyed his morning runs around the campus, when everything was still calm and quiet.
Soccer turned out to be a great sport for the active and outgoing Rayne. He quickly befriended his teammates (Kayaan and Abby being his roommates) and trained hard, trying to perfect his technique. Between classes, he'd juggle his soccer ball to gain complete control over the ball, striving every time to break his latest record.
Sometimes, after a great training, he'd feel too excited to go to bed. Knowing he had a full day of classes, studying and training ahead of him, Rayne found himself practicing yoga on the balcony of his bedroom as it calmed him down, allowing him to get the sleep he needed.
The next day, Rayne met his other roommates. Brainiac Kiyoshi Kondo and soccer player Kayaan Ramesh shared a mini-flat and so did artistic Imane Jaouad and geeky Ino Maeda. Abby King, also a soccer player and thus, just like Kayaan, Rayne's teammate, shared her mini-flat with Mao Fuji. Mao was an older student and Rayne was immediately attracted to the calm and slightly distant, but beautiful young woman. Sadly for our gen 3 heir, Mao's class schedule was as un-matched with his as could be, so he only rarely crossed her in the dorm or on campus.
Surprisingly, Rayne's team won the match (but Rayne wasn't the one leading them to victory this time... not even close. Most of the time he had been running around like a headless chicken, miraculously stealing the ball from his opponents enough for the coach to leave him on the field).
After the match, Abbie and Rayne sat for a while in Abbie and Mao's mini-flat to chat about the game. Mao was away on a short exchange trip, Rayne didn't really know the details and hadn't bothered to ask her. He had to admit that he was a little relieved not to see Mao for a few days.
Rayne: "I can't believe I lasted for the whole match, I was wasted. Please, next time, remind me not to play beer pong before a match!"
Abbie (frowning, but also smiling): "Shouldn't Mao be the one to remind you of such things? She's your girlfriend after all..."
Rayne (suddenly feeling awkward): "She... eh... I... It's not like that, actually..."
Abbie (surprised): "What do you mean?"
Rayne (flustered): "We... eh... never really discussed... eh... relationship status." (clearing his throat and looking down to the floor) "I'm... not interested in a relationship, to be honest."
Abbie: "Ooooh, so you just wanted to have some casual fun and she thinks you two are dating?"
Rayne (his cheeks burning): "Yeah... I know it's kinda awful..."
Abbie (shrugging): "We're young adults here and we're in uni. We all want to have some fun. If Mao just unilaterally claims you to be her boyfriend, then that's her problem. You don't owe her anything."
Rayne blinked a few times. Was he still drunk? Did he just hear that correctly? He was so confused by Abbie's reaction that he stood up, telling her he probably should turn in for the night. "Sure," Abbie had said and she also rose to her feet, accompanying him to the door. But after they had said their goodbyes, she hesitated to move away, standing between Rayne and the door.
Rayne felt a tension building up, a tension that was familiar, but not with Abbie. He saw her cheeks turn red and heard her say: "Why should Mao be the only one to have fun?"
Abbie leaned into him and before he fully understood what was happening, he felt her lips on his. To his surprise, Abbies lips were even softer than Mao's. She tasted a little salty and smelled a little sweaty, as they had been running around the soccer field only a short while before. But that didn't bother Rayne. On the contrary, he felt heat rising in his body. He put his arms around her, pulling her closer in the kiss, breathing heavily. He felt her hands on his back moving upwards to his neck and she ran her fingers through his hair. Rayne started kissing her cheek, her jaw, her neck.
Without words, they started to move, knowing very well where to go and what was going to happen there.
