Morning! Happy Monday ✂️ A bit of a different post this morning 🧵🪡 How can we love our clothes a little more when they might be deemed unwearable because they have become so worn? Here is a second hand Zara coat where the leather sleeves become very worn. So I cut off the previous very worn leather sleeves and added a new faux leather sleeve making it look brand new again! I sewn the clasps again and it really was amazing to see the “before” and “after”. Now my friend has a brand new coat in time for Christmas 🎁 If you’re able to make your clothes become your favourite again by a a few stitches I really would recommend 🧵Get your clothes tailored to fit you to your measurements 🧵Alterations to hems if you prefer trousers and jeans longer/shorter 🪡 You can not only make your clothes last for longer but also help a small business near you! If you search where your local tailors/launderette seamstress is in your area (I’ve seen sewing machines in launderettes but you will have to check!) then I’m sure they’d be more than happy to help. Have your measurements ready, or replacement fabric ready and be prepared to pay upfront or a small deposit towards what you have asked 🧵 I hope this encourages you to love your clothes a little longer 💚🪡✂️ ...
