There was a time when Sorcha could get away with not being dragged along by her brother to different social events - she never understood why he’d leave her out but it didn’t bother her before. For some reason now, though, as if he’s had this epiphany that it might be his life’s purpose to make sure she has an actual social life, Lonan takes her to all these parties but she usually finds places to hide. Logically, though, Sorcha realizes she could be of use to him like a sober companion or designated driver if he’s too messed up to operate anything. 

Right now, she’s in someone else’s house with people sitting around her and some guy just had his arm around her shoulder - offering her a drink but she’d been so focused on remaining calm that when she told him to back off, her voice was like a shrill. It did the job, though it gained her attention she absolutely did not want. Instead of continuing to take on those eyes, Sorcha finally got up and headed up the stairs, knocking on each door until she found what she thought was an empty room... “Oh, I’m sorry, I can leave,” Sorcha said to the familiar girl - someone she recognizes as one of Lonan’s friends. The oddness of her being alone up here dawned on Sorcha, making her blurt out “why aren’t you downstairs with the others, with Lonan?” Her black rimmed glasses slid down her nose and, without thinking, she pushed them back up while keeping this intense focus on the dark haired girl, waiting for some kind of explanation.
