21. Summer Camp
He was the new counselor—the one with gorgeous blue eyes, blond hair and that adorably shy smile when anybody tried to compliment him. Which of course, the only reason Clint had seen that shy smile was because people were complimenting him. Sure the guy seemed to set down rules and he took his role seriously, but the kids he was working with seemed to like him, and the rest.. the compliments were from the girls. Obviously he’d be nominated for Camp Crush.
Clint was one of the older kids, shipped off to camp by the people that were tired of looking after him all the time. It wasn’t that bad. At least it was different. He had enough free time to climb trees, show off the archery skills no one expected him to have, and check out the newest counselor. Guy’s name was Steve and he was Clint’s idea of heaven. He knew that he should stay away and not even tempt fate—there was Clint, messy mop of dirty blond hair, still growing into his limbs with the remains of his teenage years, and full of so much baggage he could run an airline. But he knew what he liked when he saw it.
Knocking on the doorframe, he leaned against it as he watched Steve alone. The kids were out on the lake with some big group exercise and only a few of them were left back at the cabins. Clint had opted out. Seemed like a good decision now. ”Hey,” he said. ”Mind if I come in?”

Who is louder? Surprisingly, Steve. Natasha can be loud, but it’s rarely genuine. Years of secrecy have her trained to keep quiet.
Who is more experimental? Again, Steve. Natasha’s tried a lot of things, so it’s not really “experimental” at that point. Plus, that implies trying something out of her comfort zone, and there’s not much that truly makes her uncomfortable to the point of refusal.
Who takes more risks? Steve. But that’s not just in sex—he’s the one who takes more emotional risks. He says ‘I love you’ first, he puts himself out there for her, he does a lot of things to express himself and his feelings even if it’s uncomfortable for him. Natasha tends to play it safe. (But sexually, Steve tends to be the one to make suggestions or ask to do something.)
