Can we take like a (one more i mean) moment to appreciate Till's scenes in Cure. Also in blink gone. Till in general.
Like. Most of his PoV is focused on Mizi, reaching for her, worrying about her or smth like that. In Cure we can see that when she was broken out, his owner took him to some party to sing but he was very angry and upset and resisted. Later, it's implied he was either beaten or maybe drugged (punished in some way that left him very weak and even more upset). He passes out and Ivan gently comes in (in his Behaved Pet and model suit) and takes his gag off and then cups his face. In other flashbacks, we see very wild experiments/punishments for Till involving needles and vials and he seems to be in great distress and pain in most of them. To the point where, in Cure, he is completely worn out. It's the only one of his three rounds (and all the flashbacks) he looks so down. When Ivan goes and reaches out to kiss and choke him, he struggles at first, looking, reasonably, very scared. His eyes are usually very wide but in this round, it's the first time they go like that, being frightened by the sudden and unwanted kiss. Then, when he chokes him, Till falls mostly limp. I really wanted to know what goes on his head then (since it was on Ivans pov so we dont rlly know), if he just accepts death or trusts Ivan not to harm him too much or is just too out of it or what. When Ivan is shot, he opens his eyes and grabs at his throat, where Ivan's hand had been just a few moments before. That event leaves him even more shaken up, and then, a few hours later, we get to the final round/Blink Gone. Till looks still tired and angry and upset, but much more energetic and agressive like his usual self. People theorize he's been drugged for that round. I think it makes lots of sense. And then he gives his best, singing to the fucking crowd as he always does, and Luka comes and taunts him and triggers his too-recent memories by closing his own hands arond his throat and leaning in like he's going to kiss him. Suddenly, Ivan's face is all over him—in Luka's creepily similar smile, in the large screens behind him—and he is almost fainting.
And then, he catches a glimpse of beautiful pink hair in the audience. His eyes light up almost immediately, and he reaches out to her. It's Mizi, and she's okay, and she's here, and if he can get to her it's gonna be okay!!! And then well. We know what happens.
A little flashback. The last one. He is hiding with Mizi and they are laughing and he is smilling and she is smilling too and looking to him with those gorgeous green eyes, and then back to present. Mizi is still looking at him. Her eyes are even wider. She doesn't have her glasses for some reason. But most important, she's not smilling. Mizi is crying. Till lifts up a hand to try and wipe her tears, say it's okay, comfort her like her smile always did to him, but then he can't control his arm anymore. He never touches her face. Mizi fades out of his vision.
