angsty mood you say?? how would you feel about writing something about roger having an anxiety attack for example before a show or something: does he try to hide it from the others?? can they tell regardless so help him through it?? or does he try to seek help?? shippy or platonic your choice
I tried this as a time challenge, so it’s shorter than normal, but hopefully still a decent read.
There’sa tightness in his chest that has nothing to do with the cigarette between histeeth. He’s played larger crowds before, hell he knows that he’s never been anxious to play in front of large crowds.Stage fright is not in Roger Taylor’s vocabulary.
Then again,he’s never played with so much at stake before. He doubles over in the hallway.Queen’s popularity is on the decline. They have too many scandals to their name.Freddie’s a flight risk for all that he says he isn’t.
If theyflop, Queen’s dead.
It’sscary because Roger doesn’t really know a life without Queen now. He’s too oldto form a new band and too used to howthis band operates.
Breathingisn’t supposed to be this hard. The cigarette burns on the concrete. Roger triesto pull in air, but it feels like his lungs have seized. His hands tug at hishair, and the ground beneath his feet pitches wildly with the bass of the bandplaying now.
Hecloses his eyes and curls into himself. A faint echo of his biology classwanders into his head. Slowly he stands back up. It feels like his legs aren’tgoing to support him. Footsteps echo from somewhere above him.
Rogerleans against the wall and pulls out another cigarette. His chest still tight,and his breathing still isn’t right.
Brianpeaks around from the corner, a scowl on his lips when he sees the cigarette.He raises his eyebrow and in exchange Brian offers a tired smile.
“We’reon in fifteen.”
Heslides the cigarette back into the box and sticks his hands in his pockets. A RogerTaylor smile on his lips.
“Let’sgive them a show.”
Thetightness will disappear when Freddie plays the first note on the piano. This won’tkill Queen.
I find the challenges where you show your growth as an artist over time difficult because i’m so unorganized ‘:D in the area of tracking my drawings. But this girl has been with me forever and has changed a lot.
