Thinking abt how much adhd contributes to art block?

Like... a non exhsustive list looks smth like this:

Gets bored if a piece takes longer than a few days

Loses interest if smth more interesting comes around

Procrastinates starting a project bc of mental/emotional/physical overwelm

Doesn't start a project bc there are Too Many Ideas

Gets bored once you know what the outcome will be

A thousand uncompleted sketches and thumbnails *

* (not actually a bad thing, do this More actually. It gets the ideas out!)

Gets discurraged without external validation

Becomes adicted to external validation

Incapable of being reliable in a sustained fashion

Misses deadlines bc of time blindness

Either you get to Plan a long term project or Do a long term project. Either way it doesn't get done bc you can't do both, and even if you could... see point 1.

Wait for It Just because you don't accomplish, receive, or see something in the time frame that you want - it doesn't mean that you've failed or missed your mark. It doesn't mean that it's too late. What's meant and aligned for you will come at the right time. It will come at a time that you are truly ready to handle, appreciate, and understand it. Don't let your worry overshadow the work.

Actually having to go to an in-person conference is terrifying. I have never booked a hotel room in my life. Everything is late and I missed a bunch of deadlines due to my dog having an emergency earlier in the month and I have no idea how to do anything while still having an enormous pile of actual work. I’m so bad at being an adult. I wish at literally any point of my life anyone could have taught me how to take care of myself but here we are trying to catch up on lost time and I’m a nervous wreck.

I am studying abroad and it’s so complex when you are the ‘put together’ one but also the ‘stick in the mud’ one when it comes to relationships. I want to spontaneously go out and get drunk and find some random person to kiss. I want to be that obnoxious couple in the pub making out on the dance floor. I also want to giggle and dance with my partner and have fun. But at the same time I want to find someone who cares about me; someone I can talk to, go on real dates with, and actually have a relationship with. But then can I do that while knowing it may have to end in T minus 5 months? Love is hard and I just wish it was easier and I wasn't such an over thinker about it.

I love the phases it has gone through. Some plants did well, others not so much. Learn a lot though

It only holds my blue neocaridina shrimp now.

It gets 3 pumps of tropica specialized nutrition a week, 3ml of Seachem flourish excel each morning and 2 water changes of 50% a week. The pH is 7,5 the kh is 5 and the gh is 7. Also an eheim 12 watt led light (800 lumen and 7,500 Kelvin). the soil is just an nutrient rich soil capped off with Grey gravel.

(I could do less water changes but my shrimp are well fed and barely any algae grows so it seems to work out well for me)
