He certainly does.
Medivh grew up with Anduin Lothar, later known as the Lion of Azeroth, Commander of the Stormwind Armies and Brotherhood of the Horse, and also Llane Wrynn, later to become King of Stormwind.
They were the only two people he trusted with everything he was, when he was young - they knew what he was to become, despite the position itself being a well-kept secret. The trio supported each other in times of trouble and need.
When Medivh was overcome by the Power of Tirisfal in his teenage years, both Llane and Anduin were there for him, whenever they could get away from their own duties, talking to him, reminding him that they would be there when he awoke, and never gave up hope that he would awaken.
When Medivh awoke, the three quickly became the trio they had been, though Medivh had much to adjust to, falling into his coma a boy, and awakening a man - and having few people understand this fact. Without Anduin and Llane, it was likely that Medivh may have gone mad trying to adjust. With the aid of his friends, however, he managed to catch up on a decade in a shot amount of time.
As an adult, he took on Khadgar, a Kirin Tor mage-in-training as an apprentice, and in some ways, was able to explore his own teenage years through his own beloved student.
With the tragic deaths of Medivh and Llane in quick succession, Anduin Lothar was left to grieve - though found a friend in Medivh's apprentice, Khadgar, who loved his mentor, and so they grieved together.
If Medivh had not had Llane, who believed so deeply in him, or Anduin Lothar who knew him so well - or even Khadgar, who watched the horrifying downward spiral of his beloved teacher, it may have cost the world.
Instead, the incidents and the war that followed stole all three of the trio from the world - leaving Khadgar and others inspired by Anduin Lothar to carry the legacies of a loyal king, and a good man who had been robbed of his own autonomy before he was even born.
