House of Horns

Moving along let's have a look at the family room and the vintage bathroom!!
Tucked away down a long driveway, nestled among overgrown trees with grass up to my thighs, we find this captivating abandoned time capsule house.
The owners were an Italian couple, the wife having passed away almost 15 years ago and the husband died in 2015, which is around the time the home was vacated.
I was absolutely blown away by how untouched it was with seemingly everything left behind. There was china still sitting in the display cabinet, clothing left in the closets, artwork and even a small collection of taxidermy and animal horns. The large property was used for farming with pens for livestock and a few outbuildings. One of those buildings contained refrigerators and freezers for storing the meat, one of which was still powered.
Two years after my visit a lot has changed. The basement flooded and there are now large swathes of toxic black mold that have taken over the home. This house does not have much time left!
