I dreamt I was in the car and my brother was driving. Along the way, I saw that Julio's motorcycle was lying next to a car, and I managed to recognize Julio. I asked my brother to let me get out. As I walked back to the scene of the crash, the time and distance I covered seemed much greater than what we had actually traveled.
I dreamt that a police officer was frisking me, and I could feel the heat of his body as he looked into my eyes. Then he pushed me against a wall and pressed against me from behind.
Este sueño puede estar explorando temas de vulnerabilidad y violación de espacio personal. La interacción física intensa y no deseada puede reflejar sentimientos de invasión o una lucha con situaciones donde te sientes controlado o manipulado.
The Persistence Of Memory
"The Persistence of Memory" is a surreal masterpiece by the renowned Spanish artist Salvador Dalí. Created in 1931, this painting is an iconic representation of the dreamlike and surreal nature of Dalí's work. The artwork features a barren, otherworldly landscape with melting watches draped over various objects, including a tree and a distorted face.
The melting watches, often interpreted as symbols of the fluidity of time, create a sense of distortion and instability in the scene. The eerie, almost hallucinatory quality of the painting transports viewers into a realm where time itself appears to be in a state of flux.
While Salvador Dalí is a well-known artist, "The Persistence of Memory" may not be as frequently discussed as some of his more famous works, making it a fascinating and lesser-known gem in the realm of surrealism. It invites viewers to question the nature of reality and the fluidity of time in a captivating and thought-provoking way.
This painting is a testament to Dalí's unique artistic vision and his ability to challenge conventional perceptions of reality through his art.

Alice In Wonderland Syndrome (AIWS)
Since i was a child i have had (infrequent) strange feelings happening to me that would occur for about 5-10 minutes at a time. I didn't think about them too much when i was younger, mostly for fear of freaking myself out even further. When i was in my first or 2nd semester of college we were learning about panic attacks, and i thought that my strange episodes were the start of a panic attack. However, i don't think this is so. The past couple years i have been doing some research at times on this. It is quite the mystery. I guess i should explain the strange feelings. It's like... It's like. Hm. I'll be doing a task, or not doing a task. I think it always happens when i'm by myself. I'll be concentrating on something rather mundane, and then before i know it everything in my surroundings gets sped up. Like, really, really fast. I am aware that things are not actually going any faster. It's as if i can separate the "fast feeling" from how things are actually moving. Almost like a conscious duality of perception. I cannot escape the rapid-moving time distortion, yet i can sense that things are also very normal at the same time. My thoughts feel incredibly rapid and intense. Each individual movement feels extremely fast. I will purposely slow down my movements as it is happening just to see if it helps, but, nope. The sense of my inner-thoughts feeling intense and rapid is the most strange and scary. The "fast feeling" goes away on its own within 5 to 15 minutes? I think i would go insane if it went on any longer. It is the strangest sensation! Anyway, it used to happen maybe once or twice every few months. Now, maybe once or twice a year, if that. It's hard to explain to people... as if they think i'm joking, or it's just that they have no way of understanding what the hell i'm talking about. I've done some research and found its most closely related to AIWS. Most people who experience AIWS tend to have a distortion of things visually. Things tend to look very small or large, or shift quickly back and forth. Sounds are also distorted in some cases. There is a whispering/screaming duality... where things seem deafening-ly quiet and shift to what seems like a scream. However, 'time-lapse' distortions are mentioned in it, and i think that's what i have. Also, today i woke up and felt like everything was visually distorted. My hands looked strangely small, and the room seemed very large. Everything seemed small and large at the same time. It is what triggered me to write about my AIWS. I usually don't have these symptoms, as it is mostly the fast-feeling type i experience. But for the past 36 hours i've had Norovirus. I woke up feeling better today, but also having the visual distortion-AIWS-whatever you wanna call it-feelings. I am wondering if my symptoms are related to having a fever? All of last night i was "sweating out" the virus and letting my fever run it's course. I was also having headaches, different from the kind i usually have. Although, i rarely have headaches of any kind. AIWS has been associated with epilepsy and seizures. Not only do i wonder if fevers somehow "trigger" the disorder that someone already has, but if a high fever or seizure could actually cause the syndrome from the start. When i was a baby i had to be hospitalized for a fever so high that it caused me to seizure. As far as i know, that was the only episode of seizures i've experienced. Could that have activated something in my temporal lobe to have these "on-the-verge-of" seizure things that cause my perception to get all out-of-sorts for a few minutes at a time? Some think that as someone experiences AIWS they are actually having a form of epileptic seizure while it is happening. Maybe i'm crazy. But i'm definitely curious! I wish there was more medical research done on this, or more people who could relate! It is a strange occurrence to say the least.
Ok, somebody today told me that editing or coloring a picture of a celebrity is considered illegal and it's copyright infringment and that I'm "STEALING". Is this true? What the fuck are they talking about? So I can't edit a picture of my own favorite celebrity or artist just for creative purposes? How is that considered stealing?
SQUEE! So this is my legal area!
Under the strictest terms of copyright law, yes editing or coloring pictures of celebrities is considered copyright infringement and is therefore illegal. It is this way because someone (ie a photographer) took that picture and it is considered their work (note that the copyright owner would NOT be the celebrity - it's the person in the industry who collects the royalties from that image's use). Now, here is where the big BUT comes in. Because it would be entirely impractical and unrealistic to pursue copyright infringement action on all images online (because all images online were generated by someone), there's this thing called Fair Use under US Copyright law. It wouldn't be fair in the eyes of the law if copyright owners pursued people for every little infringement they made - copyright law is all about balancing these interests between creator and user. Now, what fair use means is that you can use that image for your own personal purposes without it being considered illegal because you're not making a profit out of it. If you were editing and making profit out of your fave celeb's photo and that photographer wasn't getting the royalties from that image, THAT is stealing under copyright law. Your edits are considered fair use under US copyright law and if the copyright owner truly wanted to make a case for it, a judge would pretty much laugh them out of court because there would be no 'detriment', no damages to be awarded and therefore no case. So keep creating knowing that what you're doing is very legal under the fair use provisions... and tell whoever it was that they need a reality check.
