didn’t sleep well at all last night but in the time I spent NOT sleeping I thought of an entire plot line for both Timothy and a possible Usagi in TMNTU so there’s that. I sketched a possible design for both but I’ll just post the Timothy’s I did for now (esp since the usagi storyline would have to be much later)

he’s really into aliens and is constantly watching those Area 51 raid YouTube videos and theories and those alien and ghost shows that were always playing on history channel (idk if that’s still a thing tbh but whatever) and is regarded as the strangest kid in school. He really REALLY really wanted to be friends with Casey and admired him deeply, especially for his theory about the government that everybody else ridiculed, but Casey doesn’t even know his name, or really remember him until April mentions he talked to her

He meets Donnie in an accidental encounter and Donnie beats the shit out of him (/hj), realizes ok maybe he shouldn’t have done that, and things escalate from there

I think Tim rlly wants to fit in with people,, and be like them, so he’ll subconsciously (or purposefully) shift,, sometimes he’ll give himself a bandana like the turtles wear, or even be a turtle for a while. He probably isn’t allowed to always use his powers just bc he would lowk be able to escape with them, but he’s pretty chill so they’re not as harsh w him on that rule as say,, April or even Leo. hes like Mikey in that both of them try to make the others feel better abt the situation, but he can be borderline in denial sometimes.

Finally finished Timothy Slim (pronounced Slime)

Timothy is a slime Yokai from the Hidden City who lives on the surface due to circumstances regarding his family’s business.

He attends the same high school as April and Casey and is well known as THE weird kid™️ because of his obsession with conspiracy theories. You name one and he knows and probably believes it or even has a conspiracy for the conspiracy.

The one he’s been focused on in most recent years is the New York sewer alligators who he believes are actually sewer turtles. Despite the laughs and patronizing of the online forums he’s in and of local conspiracy groups he is determined to find proof to set the record straight.

This is how he accidentally involves himself in April and Casey’s investigation into the disappearances of their best friends. He agrees (despite them never actually asking for his assistance) to help them search if they help him gather evidence for his research.

They couldn’t expect for two wildly unrelated investigations could have so much in common.

Timothy really only goes by Timothy since he likes it far more than “Tim” and he’s never really had friends to give him a nickname.

Fun fact! Slime Yokai families are known to have different abilities. Some can self destruct and others are super sticky. Timothy’s family can manipulate their slime to look like other things and change color and density (tho how well they can do the later depends on how good they are at shifting into a form). Basically they’re shape shifters which is why he doesn’t need a cloaking device to be in the surface!

Here is a big part of the gang!

We have Tim inspired by the 2012 version and the work of @pinetreevillain as I love it and needed someone to show the pop culture to Usagi and Lotus. And he's also a mutant, same acidic slime as his counterpart, only Tim can control his form and pass as human without a camouflage brooch.

You know Lotus, inspired by the 1987 version with the more vibrant color variation from the Rise universe. Time traveler from Ancient China.

And our samurai rabbit from another dimension, Yuichi Usagi, inspired by the Samurai Rabbit cartoon.

Irma, also a combination of 2012 and 1987, a conspiracy theorist and being the oldest of the group with college age.

Mona Lisa, once a human then a mutant, inspired mostly by the 1987 backstory. And being very tall and invulnerable.

And Jason, the same, human to mutant, not yet baptized as Mondo Gecko since he hasn't met Mikey. Aspiring fashion designer and skateboarder.
