Are we going to get the full breakdown of the tortie tournament from your POV? Biggest surprises? Your personal top 10?

The biggest surprise definitely was the final winner. Don't get me wrong, Hayley is a beautiful cat, but her special beauty is more about the overposition of the red ghost rosettes on the tortie pattern, not the latter itself, you know? Same with Aura, who is currently winning the second place poll. Once again, her attractiveness lies in the combination of the admittedly very nice blotched and the tortie patterns.

I wasted a lot of times in this so at least i want show it to you I made some diagrams about the phenotype distributions of the originally submitted cats!

10. Cat with a hole in it. I can appreciate a good meme.

9. Lyca (submitted by @mixit-exists). She went up until the fifth round, and yeah, that was deserved. She's one of the most unique-looking cats i've ever seen

8. Konfetti vom Alpenwichtel. She's wearing a tiara

7. Sushi (submitted by @the-golden-paw). I like high white cats, and she has little spots on her muzzle and that nice round patch on her back

6. Occhi di Gatto Chloé. I'm a huge fan of her red paw.

4. Maria av Karotrollhus. Yet another unappreciated submission of my own (she lost the first round), but i really like the arrow on her forehead.

  “I really thought I had more money than that.”  Tinna said this to herself in disbelief.

   “I’m going to need you to leave the line.”  The attendant flicked the bug away as he said this.

   Leaving the help desk, Tinna joined Winnipeg who immediately left the butterfly and ran to her with her arms open.  Tinna lifted the bear into her arms and quickly made her way down a long neon hallway and once she was certain no one was looking, she moved through a side door that opened to a walkway that looked out to the docking ships.  Beyond that was the vastness of space. A large nebula lit their path as she made her way down the walkway.

   “Okay Winnie, I tried doing this as legal as I can.”  She stopped and looked to the largest ship that was currently boarding passengers.  The ship was famous throughout the galaxy. A luxury liner that made trips to various planets in record time.  Because of its massive size it was given the name the S.S. Hundred Acre. Today it would be taking a routine path, and Tinna planned to board and disembark in an escape pod halfway through that trip.  To a planet that would either be waiting for her, or possibly to empty space. So was betting on the planet existing. She needed it to exist. If it does, then perhaps her and Winnie can finally find more tigers just like her, and hopefully a home.

   “Let’s find a way to sneak onto that ship.”

How much do dilutes in torties affect each other? Like is dilute one gene that acts the same for both red and black, or is it seperate for each? Like can you get a blue and cream tortie where the cream is so light its almost white, whilst the blue is a really dark almost steel grey?

And related, is there a gene or genes that determines how much a base will be diluted, or is it random? Like a cream mom having an identical cream kit with the same shade/tint, versus a kit with a lighter or darker cream?

There's only one dilute gene that dilutes both eumelanin and pheomelanin (dilutes colors, blue, lilac, fawn, light amber etc always pair with cream and dense colors with red), but the exact shade is probably affected by all kind of intensity modifiers, and i expect some of these work on only one or the other. (Technically, colorpoint for example is like this: sometimes pointed torties look almost full color on the eumelanistic and almost white on the pheomelanistic parts. Inhibitor too.)

I definitely don't think it's random, but it's not simple enough to have a good inheritence model. Polygenes, you know.

Not the best photos for comparison, but in the litter of one of my old cats the two red kittens had a substantial difference is their darkness. Or had it been just their patterns? I wasn't as confident with cat colors back then.
