It’s taken me about 3 hours to see these seven 🤬🤬🤬 hexagons together! The basting is easy, the sewing together, not so much. I’ve decided I don’t like whip stitch; I don’t like the stitching being visible. I unpicked the little I’d done and went looking on #tinternet for an alternative. I’ve ended up using ladder stitch and am much happier with the results. There have been thread tangles, knots, and lots and lots of 🤬🤬🤬 but even just having done these few hexagons, I’m getting better at it, and better at judging how long (or short) my thread needs to be. This is not perfect, but it’s not awful either. I think it’s probably good enough. I keep reminding myself that, in the end, a quilt is a 3-dimensional thing which will disguise minor flaws. #quilting #englishpaperpiecing #epp #handsewing https://www.instagram.com/p/CM7YY7mpKeW/?igshid=1r4hkfbqx3e5w
