This server is ruining my life right now oh my GOD. I want to watch everyone all the time, but I still have uni so I have to do work. Thankfully one of the things I need to do for university is learn Spanish, so at least it's helpful in that regard, but AAA it's eating all of my time and brain space. And I can't even complain because it's simply too wonderful. Anyway I'm rambling now HDNDG I am SO glad to be part of your secondhand QSMP experience !!!!!! :D

hi, i have a question about accessability! i looked through the faq, but i didnt seem to find anything directly addressing this. i've been bookending my ids with [ID: (description). /end ID]. it just occurred to me that starting with 'ID' rather than the full term 'image description' might be unhelpful. should i be writing out the full term? also, if there's a typo, i've usually corrected it in the description unless it's part of the joke/concept (i assume it would be more difficult for screen readers to read them with the typos). is that the right thing to do here? thank you for posting information about this, it's really helpful and it's gotten me to start adding ids whenever i remember.

the way you’re doing it is fine! i personally always write out “image description” but mainly for educational purposes, in case someone doesn’t know what an ID is. “image description” is just...more descriptive lol and if someone were to search for “why do people write IDs?” they might not get any results. some people are brand new to the concept of image descriptions and therefore don’t know what ID stands for. but yeah, that’s just me. writing ID as a shorthand isn’t wrong and i do it sometimes if i’m in a rush or using a phone or something.

and yes, when it comes to typos or misspellings, you should correct them unless it’s part of the context of the post OR unless it reflects someone’s dialect.
