Winter 2024/Rkgk Batch #2
ruti ruhr just wants to life a quiet life ゴゴゴゴ
So I just finished watching Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside and great show. I’ve really enjoyed it however I feel like season 2 teased but didn’t deliver. I hope if there’s a season 3 they put Ruti and Tisse front and center.
Spoilers below:
There’s so much going on in that “friendship”. Girl meets scary strong lady and then runs off with her questioning what she’s doing the whole way. Running away with the new member of your party because you’re sick of fighting and trying your best to not scare your new friend. Then sometime later the assassin turned part time pilot acts off and the former hero decides to treat her “friend” to a day off doing things she enjoys almost like a date? All because she noticed her friend was acting a bit off! A lot of effort but then there’s the part where the former hero worries about her assassin “friend” and tells the cute spider side kick to come to her if she’s in any trouble. Then at the end of the season the former hero goes all “guess I’m next” about getting married and our little assassin reacts! Tisse definitely has a crush in my opinion (side eyeing her in the sauna helping her with the garden are just two little moments). But also the moment when the assassin asks “so what about me” and former hero looks towards her and I read that as her being like “you stay here with me right? I’ll show you why you belong here tomorrow and figure out what’s been up with you while I’m at it!” It really feels like they both like each other but neither of them understand how to act like normal people. Assassin recognizes that for former hero but doesn’t for herself. Former hero tries to not stick out at all turns but also somewhat seems like they’re showing off? Just a little? Like there’s a problem so I’ll stop it to show you that “if you have a problem you can bring it to me and I will fix it!” Former hero strikes me as the type who struggles with finding the right words so tries to use actions to show what she’s thinking and feeling while assassin strikes me as overthinker who still has no idea what’s going on all the time. Very much the “I’d give you the moon and fight armies for you” and the “I bet that means nothing. Yeah they’re just a super nice person like that” dynamic. And I love it.
"This is fine."
Me as DM: You notice an small apothecary shop located on the top of a hill near the outskirts of Zoltan village.
Player: We need potions and other items. Lets go there!
Me: Ok but first you need to roll 20 for intimidation check to enter.
Player: What? Are you joking?
Me: No. ROLL FOR 20
Player: But why?
NARRATOR: His party also suffered a sanity penalty as well.
