oh wow this is really really tough.

i think right now it's canaricide. while obviously i love all my fics, and particularly my longer ones, i am just so proud of the way canaricide is coming together with its allusions and themes and of the style of writing i'm using in it.

Nostalgic for a past that’s barricaded. Signs with the words “stay away” in bold dark letters line the once familiar place. It’s guarded. They tell you that you’re better off on the other side, but you rebel. You refuse to move forward because his voice calls you back. You try to leave but his smile drags you back in. You’re trapped because you’ve left pieces of yourself in him. You can’t leave because you’ve already found home in his arms.
