Taskmaster Series 11 wing AU

Inspired by the blurb of the eighth episode and the ideas that spawned from that we have the winged au.

Mike:

Has bat-like wings and they are pointy

Because of said bat-like wings he's still a great swimmer. His wings are waterproof.

They have points at the end and if you catch him unaware you'll find him once a week sticking the point in his mouth.

Usually he keeps them folded and incumbersome to those around him but alone, doing tasks, he lets them flair out at random moments to stretch. He's ended up hitting three people, hitting a wall and marking it with his claw and knocking five items off a shelf.

The plane tasks are terrible

Because of the bat-like wings the muscles are exposed and visible on his wings. It does not help when he wears a suit and covers up but his wings show how well-kept they are.

Along with swimming he likes flying and diving, leading to his wings being very strong and dexterous, perfect for forcing him up from the ground and controlling his dive.

There is one video of him flying until he's a speck and then diving from that height into a lake and emerging like a dolphin with a fish, shouting victory.

There is a separate series of videos of him wobbling upon water entry, slapping into the water face-first and almost drowning.

Because he doesn't have feathers he doesn't have to preen his wings which leads to people often seeing him as smug when really it's his natural face. (But he is smug.)

There is a downside to not having feathers though...his wings are basically super sensitive because they're exposed skin. (He has accidentally wing slapped Alex at least once on camera because he was too close and ended up poking Mike's wing. This is why he keeps his wings mostly behind his back, folded.)

Having demon-like wings confuses people (only for a bit, then when they thinking about it, it starts to make sense) and it's not like he hides his wings from people or anything, he just doesn't frequently use them, so people tend not to see them when meeting him, and are like "what a nice chill guy. real geography teacher or pilot vibes here"

He keeps them folded in public and outside of tasks and physical activities because he sees it as polite. (He also fears hitting people, people touching his wings if they aren't folded and injuring his wings because he doesn't have feathers to protect them.)

Charlotte:

Has white and yellow wings

Looks like angel wings

They're super soft and do NOT help her innocent, pure, children's tv presenter vibes.

They are expressive. (They flair out when she's suprised, excited or stretching.)

They floofy up when she's nervous which is most of the time.

They look well cared for and smooth but they're naturally like that.

Charlotte has ended up with feathers in her mouth because she was suprised.

She treats her wings like separate beings that like to get in her way and attack her. This has lead to many 'accidents'.

She can not control her wings at all.

Sarah:

Has tail feathers.

Her wings look like those of a wedge-tailed eagle, it's cool

She will hit you with her wings on purpose. (but she does have control over them.)

They are made for flighty, especially hunting. (she mainly uses them to chase after her children.)

They often ruffled and not all that soft but they're good for flight and that's all that matters.

You will catch her unapologetically spreading her wings out to sun herself. It feels good, okay.

Out of everyone except Lee, she is the best at keeping her wings unemotive.

Lee:

Will glare at you if you go anywhere hear him

Has dragonfly/fairy wings

Gets teased for it but he's accepted it.

Him and Mike make up the non-feathered group.

Because of wings not being able to fold he takes pride in being able to casually hit people on 'accident'

His wings are a little battered

He can not fly in the rain. It's a nice contrast to have him and Mike on a team.

His wings are paper thin so he will shout if you hit them.

He's smug that he has the best wings for all environments. Small spaces, large spaces, hovering, gliding. (but never diving. like paper to water. Mush.)

Thanks to not being able to actually fold or move the wings by much Lee's wings give no baring on his emotions. (Making him a great liar.)

Jamali:

Biggest wings in the game

Honestly the most powerful, he could probably break a window with a flick.

Rough and tough grey colours and feathers. It add to his street vibes.

He keeps his wings purposefully rough looking, not much preening going on there. (mainly because preening is a bird thing. He isn't a bird man.)

Originally people use to judge him based on the big, bulky look of his wings. 'Scary, aggressive, idiot.' But he's travelled the world and doesn't care what people say about him or initially judge him as, he knows who he is. (and it's a pretty defiant, strong and determined individual.)

He will struggle to move when his wings are wet, they are very heavy. He may be strong but no one is that strong. Alex was threatened by Jamali when they filmed a task in the rain.

Jamali CAN spin a pillow on the tip of his wing and he is very angry that was not rewarded, that takes skill
