Thanks to @arcadecarpetgay and their spectacular Time Travel fics and top tier Daisy&Jon content I picked back up where I left off in TMA which was right after the Unknowing was blown up.
And man, gotta say I was baffled by Basira so perfectly doing Elias’s dirty work and with ease laying full blame for the end of the world at Jon’s feet. Like gurl, he Buried himself to bring Daisy back and this is how you repay him!?? Failing to even a little but accept that if you hadn’t taken Jon to see the Dark Sun and the other wild goose chases Elias sent you on Jon wouldn’t have been marked enough to pull off The Watchers Crown?? At least so soon.
Not to mention the only reason Basira was capable of following Elias’ bullshit was bc Jon wasn’t Looking like he Promised.
Livid. Absolutely livid.
Also I’m with Jon on being disappointed Daisy didn’t recognize him too. Blindsided by it really. When Jon was still terrified by what she’d done and was honestly the only person to accept her as she was at face value anyway. What ever that’s what Arcadecarpetgay’s fics and others are for.
The point of this post is actually that I just finished 181 and Jon’s “It’s a Mystery!” Is so cute and wholesome okay, and also I had to make memes and it’s been long enough I don’t gotta think about spoilers right?
