I've got this hc/theory regarding Jon learning throughout the apocalypse how make the proper jokes that would get Martin to laugh because he notices that Martin doesn't easily get his dry, sarcastic, off-hand humor.

He realizes alot of it is about tone and looks and makes his jokes much more obvious by exaggerating his delivery and making them sillier as time goes on.

Which is when 'literally everything' makes its debut and 'the tarot sense' also performs well (uh... not 'Well' well but Martin does get that it's supposed to be funny) . Because normally Jon would say those jokes dryly but his tone in these is very exaggerated and he does 'the look' Martin learns to recognize as his jokey expression. Jon succeeds and Martin understands that they are jokes even if some of them make him groan instead of giggle.

But that's fine by Jon, as long as it makes Martin smile. Which you can clearly tell is something that is very important to Jon as he tries to make the journey be less oppressive than it already is.
