1, first date

i think these two would have a disastrous first date. casey is trying to appeal to buffy's want to experience what a normal girl would. meanwhile buffy knows casey likes a thrill. so they are unknowingly working against each other's plans. at the end of the night, the chaos makes them second guess their relationship and if their differences will tear them apart.

but they talk about it. and try another date. something where they can meet in the middle. casey teaches buffy how to ice skate. it's a fun activity that's pretty "normal" but something he still is passionate about. and they can still talk while doing it.

they have to put in some effort, but they figure out something that works for both of them.

19, pirates

okay so trivia im watching the live action one piece rn with one of my close friends who i have actually talked to about a pirate tmnt au lmao

casey is a cabin boy in this au lol

anyway in a 2012 lens i think buffy would be a rich noble-lady who is heir to a big family name or whatever. she's kidnapped by pirates. casey really cares more about adventure than riches or getting the girl, but he helps save buffy anyway.

they snark at each other the entire time, but it's clear that it's playful and they both find it very funny to get on each other's nerves. like there's no actual malice, and it's a bit flirtatious. so when buffy is returned to her family, she and casey are a bit hesitant to say goodbye.

and while they were sailing to her home, buffy admitted she enjoyed the adventure of it all. getting to escape her very controlled home life. so casey promises he'll take her on another adventure someday
