Devotional Collage: Apollo
She is like one of those autumn breezy nights in which you take a deep cold breath, and you can feel the cold going down through your lungs but still feel warm inside. You look to the trees, to the horizon, take a glance at the moon and stay there, for a while, and you know you might be alone but you are not lonely.
He is like those hot summer days in wich you feel the sun kissing your skin rather than burning it. Everything is loud, everyone is laughing, you look to the sky above, the sun makes your eyes squint, but it doesn't hurt. You feel warm and complete.
Khaire, Leto's offsprings. Never one without the other.
Phoebus Apollon, to you I pray! strike away all illusions cast off doubt so that I may see with eyes unclouded, and lend me your guidance to uncover the truth.
you know what a good concept is... me writing... me painting... me getting around to creating, rather than sitting on my ass 😔✊
I don't like burning herbs like sage or any herb really for cleansing purposes. The smoke doesn't sit right with me and I'm stressed out just using incense because my smoke alarm has been known to go off if I'm cooking water (has happened thrice already).
But I still want to benefit from the cleansing/warding/intended effect of a herb.
So why not drink them as a tea? The herb's essences will still be in the air but in addition to that I'll have them in my body as well. And those I can't or don't want to drink, I can still use for cooking and have the same effect.
Icarus
If I have to fly to get to you,
Then make my own wings is what I’ll do.
And if I get burned to see it through,
I’ll always know, at least I flew.
thank you for the silky touch of light; for the whites and yellows of the morning; the new, the young, the living; the singers, the fools, the poets; the ones who cry and paint and know; the ones who are at peace; we thank you; and we thank you; for the harmony that Your presence gives; for the light and the warmth; for the sounds and the pleasure; for the youth! and to be forever young. and to be forever yours
