"No", Lily laughed, "It's like- it's like celebrating that I'm getting married but also like a last hurrah of being single."

James frowned, "But you're not single."

"Well, no. I guess I mean more like a party saying goodbye to the possibility of being single in the future."

"Like a funeral?"

Lily snorted, "I mean- yeah? That's kind of accurate... Anyway, Marls has planned my bachelorette for this weekend, so I asked Sirius to give you a stag do this weekend too."

"Wait, what's a stag do?"

"It's just what the groom's bachelor party is sometimes called."

James grinned, "I turn into a stag."

"I know?"

"Should I go to the party in that form?"

Lily huffed, "I really doubt a stag can do the kinda activites you get up to in a stag do."

"My fuckin car!" A man rushed out of the pub across the road, "What the fuck do you think you're doing?"

Sirius rolled his eyes, "It's a stag do!"

The man blanched, eyes locked onto the large stag, paper streamers decorating its antlers, standing on top of his car, the roof denting under the weight.

"I told you a stag do doesn't actually involve stags."

Sirius turned to Remus with a look of betrayal.

"The groom is a stag, Remus; he has to be involved."

"That is not what I meant", Remus sighed.

The man ran back inside the pub, yelling at the bartender to call the police.

"Well", Sirius shoved his hands in his pockets and turned to James, "We should probably head off if we don't want to get arrested by those muggle policemen again."

James turned back into a human and jumped off the car, a pair of fake antlers on a headband placed atop his head.

The man came rushing back out, looking around in confusion, "Where's the stag gone?"

"I'm right here", James waved, "See?" He gestured to the fake antlers on his head, "I'm the groom."

"No, there was a stag on my car! You said he was the groom!"

Sirius snorted, throwing a hand around James' shoulders, "Think you've been drinking a bit too much, mate, might want to slow down."

The group wandered down the road, ignoring the man's angry rambling.

James turned to them, "We should go to Three Broomsticks, see if Rosmerta will sell to a stag!"

Sirius and Peter lit up at the idea, clambering to discuss how they think she'd respond.
