This was taken on our wedding day in Iceland as @matthewlud & I drove up the wild coast towards hot springs & waterfalls. . . : We'd met five months prior to this photo of him picking me flowers on the side of the road being taken, and I was pregnant with our daughter Eulalie four months after that. To call it a whirlwind would be an understatement. He was a tsunami. 🌊 . . My life changed in one day. My whole world expanded. Sometimes I try to wrap my mind around what I would do without him. And I just can't. My greatest fear in a relationship is my love fading. It always has faded. I've never been able to make it more than a year or so without feeling like my relationship was more roommate than romance. Until him. I'm 34 and this is the first time I've ever still had butterflies years later. Or pterodactyls. Yeah, you give me pterodactyls, babe. Apropos of nothing, I love you. . . When I think about all of my mistakes in life, of all the suffering, I know it was all necessary to lead me to this place, this family, this life. It's all a journey, the good and bad.
