It's been a minute! Here's a photo dump of what's been going on recently.
Everett aged up a little earlier so we could have plenty of time to get ready to jump into Aurora's POV! Toni and Lance held a little get-together at their friend Sage's house with her twin children, and Everett entered toddlerhood with two new friends!
Meanwhile, Aurora was busy preparing for final exams of her first semester in college (which she, thankfully, passed), albeit not without sleepless nights and plenty of stress along the way. Having to be with Lance as he adjusts to being a father was a busy time, especially since Aurora has yet to find a significant other of her own.
Regular posts will return soon in honor of the long weekend! I took time off to decide how I'll be going forward with the series and who I'll be playing with. After Ev and the rest of Gen 3 ages up, I'll move back to just one POV because it's easier, but since Lance and Toni are twins, it makes sense for both of them to share the spotlight for now lol.
Daily #2,501! So far my working theory is they all have amnesia about those years.

this lil Lion turns 3 years old today 🎂 It has been amazing to continue to watch you grow, even if it's just been virtually for the last year and a half. I can't wait to see what you do next! From playing a masterpiece on the piano to counting to 30958345485, I know you will do it all! And Auntie Ingie will always be here for you!
I have 3 kids that i love unconditionally but my god my middle child will be the death of me.
He tests & pushes my buttons more than anyone.
Uugghh.
Life with a Toddler:
A Mini Photage
Random mom-ing ponderings for the morning:
I can’t do the whole “write/measure my kid’s height on the wall” thing because I live in an apartment and don’t see that changing in the next few years, but my husband and I are both capable of being reasonably crafty. Maybe we could get some supplies and make something to just nail/mount to the wall to measure her height, now that she’s steady on her feet, and we can have something to measure her height against in the future? Much as I hate Pinterest that’d be a great place to find ideas for that.
I’m running out of time to decide if I want to let Olivia believe in Santa. I’m leaning towards yes. Like, it feels too much like bribery, but I don’t want her to miss out on that magic? Plus my dad already has a Santa suit that he wore for her once (she was only one though so too young to remember), and I’d hate for it to go to waste. I know it’s way too early in the year to be thinking about this but here I am. I feel I should have my mind made up for sure by this Christmas.
I can’t wait until Olivia can sleep in a toddler bed instead of a crib. Right now she rolls all over the dang place in her sleep and I’m 100% sure she’d fall out of bed if not for the bars, but she haaaaaaates her crib so much, and she also won’t sleep in bed with us because she wants to play.
We might need to take her to the doctor today. She was REALLY fussy yesterday and pulling on her ear, and Tylenol seemed to help. We’re guessing there might be an ear infection starting. Ugh.
I’ve been thinking a lot lately about when Olivia’s old enough to do chores. I will never be the parent who just uses their kid to lessen their own household work burden, but I do think it’ll be nice to make cleaning day a family thing, so we can all chip in (with age-appropriate tasks) rather than one person cleaning while the other wrangles a mischievous toddler who’s trying to recreate the mess. I wonder how soon I can start teaching her how to clean. Also I feel like I don’t know HOW to teach her how to clean.
