Do you have any Emily Windsnap headcanon s? I see youre a fan :D

 Hooo boy. I haven’t looked at my inbox recently so I’m assuming this is from a while ago. I’ve only reached up to book 5 so I still need to catch up. I guess I’d say that my headcannons (or I guess thoughts on the books) would be that:

-Mr. Beeston never fully regained the Windsnap family’s trust after what happened in book one, but they do trust him more or less.

-Even though Emily’s tail is purple-green, I always imagine it being purple-blue because of one of the first book covers.

-If I could, I would personally compensate Aaron in book 5 since he couldn’t hold posiden’s tears even though he’s LITERALLY RELATED TO HIM. He’s only ever related to posiden when it huRTS HIM.

-Millie always has an Idea of what’s happening even though that doesn’t make any sense book-wise. I just think it would be funny if her predictions or gut feelings were always right, but she just likes to mess with people.

-Shona is an it girl. Either that, or if she was human I feel like she would have VSCO girl vibes. (oooh, Emily Windsnap human au?)

-Emily’s mom is a badass, and if she could’ve she would’ve swam to Emily’s mermaid school in book 4 (I think) about how not allowing Emily and Aaron into their school because they’re half-mermaid is speciesism.

-Also, can we talk about how in Emily Windsnap, Land of the midnight sun, we find out that Emily’s mom was STRAIGHT UP GOING TO RESCUE JAKE HERSELF and let Mille take care of Emily until then. I want that story to written so badly it’s UNREAL.

-Also, Emily’s dad is a sweetheart, and is definitely the softer parent out of him and MP.

-He’s probably the more lenient one as well, so if Emily wants something, she definetly’s going to ask her dad over her Mom so that ‘yeah sure’ would be the more likely answer.

Been thinking about sharing this with you for a while and since you're on the topic of reading DWBYG in inappropriate places I decided why not. I read DWBYG while I was in the hospital in labor with my son... I named him Griffin. What is my life?!

This has to take the title for most inappropriate place to read DWBYG and I absolutely love it. Many congratulations on baby Griffin btw!

Emily Windsnap Mermaid Transformation Animation WIP

After the snafu that is Netflix’s “Winx”, I’m afraid what if those same creators get their hands on “Emily Windsnap” and adapt that 😖

Bruh, I’d fully offer to direct and story board an Emily Windsnap series if that ever happens 😰 . They did winx club so dirty with that but the worst part is that that isn’t even the first time the series has gotten screwed over. X/

What's with all the mermen in "Emily Windsnap" wearing T-shirts?

YO I’m not gonna lie I’ve stayed up multiple nights trying to figure this out so here’s my theory:

Traditionally mermen in Emily Windsnap DON’T wear T-shirts and here’s what I think is up:

As far as from what I’ve seen only 2 men Emily Windsnap have actually worn T-shirts: Jake Windsnap and Aaron

For Aaron, he probably wears shirts in his Merman form just because he’s used to wearing shirts as a human and would feel awkward without it.

As for Jake, He’s described wearing clothes along with the other prisoners when Emily finds him in Prison, so I’m not entirely sure whether he actually wears clothes normally or whether it’s because it was just mandatory in prison the first time she finds him there.

Personally, I like to assume he does wear clothes normally actually and everyone in Shiprock’s just like “he’s that weird poet guy who’s always near Rainbow Rocks for ~inspiration reasons~” and probably also wears shirts so that when he’s hanging out with Mary in the water people see them and assume it’s 2 people (even though most people don’t wear a shirt when swimming in water lmao)

Wheras the other two merman characters in Emily Windsnap we’ve seen are Neptune, Archie and Njord’s Henchman who don’t wear shirts (unless you count Neptune’s sash that is)

Special Mentions for:

Mr. Beeston who looks like he probably doesn’t wear a shirt in the silhouette we have of him (but you can decide whether it looks like he does or doesn’t)

And the Mermen that have been stuck in the ice for about 400 years I think who are also shown to be shirtless

But a question I want an answer to....

Is Why is Mr. Beeston’s Mom wearing this dress??? We haven’t seen any other mermaids wearing dresses??? They usually only wear tanks tops of sorts?? AND WHY THIS DRESS??? ASDFGHJKL-

HI IM REREADING ALL OF EMILY WINDSNAP (bcs i read it in fifth grade and its so good still i-) AND HAVE U CONSIDERED: AARON/EMILY/SHONA. EMILY HAS TWO HANDS

Big mood, SHE DOES HAVE 2 HANDS. 

AND SHONA DESERVES THE WORLD BECAUSE SHE’S BEEN BY HER SIDE THE ENTIRE TIME IN THE SERIES SHE’S UNDER APRECIATED.

But if you don’t want spoilers don’t read ahead:

She drops Aaron with one of her hands in one of the newer books rip. (or Aaron drops her, Idk I still haven’t read it I just know about it.)

But either way Shona deserves the world and also deserves to be on the cover of one of the Emily Windsnap books one day, it’s a crime that she isn’t on any of them honestly smh.

I'm now reading the first Emily Windsnap book!!! How old is Mr. Beeston supposed to be? It says that he's old, yet he was friends with Emily's missing dad and is now trying to date her mom. The mom I'm guessing is younger than him

Ooof. Uhhhhhhh. To be honest I would say that he would be in his 50s-60s in my opinion.

Since Emily’s 12 in the first book and I’m assuming that her mom had her in her early 20s, she would be in her 30s by the time of the first book. As for her dad, I always imagine him to be around the same age as her mother give or take a few years. Since he was Beeston’s friend, I think they probably had a mentor/apprentice relationship and grew close to him and earned his trust through their work. Which is how he learned about MP and outed him to the mermaid govt.

Maybe I might be forgetting a few things, but that’s all I got so far. I genuinely forgot about that fact/ didn’t remember 0_0...
