"You probably think we want to invade the Human Realm; but the Titan's will is not so boorish.
You'll understand soon."
In typical Owl House fashion, you go back and suddenly little throwaway lines take on whole new meanings. This wasn't a 'you'll see when my master plan goes into effect' line, like we probably all read it; it was forewshadowing the fumking TIMELOOP.
He KNOWS that he encounters a future her in the past, and has convinced himself that, since she's human, he can talk her around eventually. You see him trying to do just that in Hollow Mind and even in King's Tide.
I was just looking for a specific screenshot from "Thems The Breaks Kid" and I just realized smth
WAS THIS FORSHADOWING WITHOUT REALIZING (since the crew didnt know the show was ending until S2B)???
o h ?
I’m s c r e a m i n g omf the foreshadowing??
Still rewatching TOH from the start
S1E16 Enchanting Grom Fright
was foreshadowing S3E2 For the Future
'cause Luz had been lying to her mom because her mom seemingly didn't understand her, and of course fears and wishes are connected.
idk we probably should have talked about it more but who is that "space" creature from Knock Knock Knockin' on Hooty's Door? are they somehow related to the Collector? Been rewatching this ep and know I'm really curious
sorry for the quality
The- the foreshadowing ;_;
Okay this one was a doozy to get into! The post already has enough said but I'll get into it a little bit!
First off, I believe "Hollow Mind" will be like "Understanding Willow" but instead of repairing something, it'll be either looking for info or Hunter trying to prove a point. The background for the screenshot of Hunter and Luz in the palace looks weird as the celing and other side in front is pitch black despite having lit torches. It shouldn't be that dark. At first I thought it would be an underground area in the palace, but why hide paintings depicting yourself as the savior? It makes no sense at it makes Belos look more like the savior of the Bolling Isles.
It wasn't until I notice this looks like something from "Understanding Willow". In Willows mind, she has trees holding paintings of her memories because she is into Plant magic. Belos having the palace as his mind's background makes sense because he is the emperor and that's his identity.
Now if this is inside Belos's mind, two important figures will appear. First is the mystery kid who has a mask similar to Belos. This maybe either Belos's younger self or someone from his past. They will playban important role of helping Hunter and Luz figuring out Belos's past. The second js Inner Belos who sports multiple eyes and a cosmic body. This could be Inner Belos rage or instinct of being threatened much like Inner Willow being on fire. Inner Belos will be the main conflict in this episode as Inner beings in one's mind is usually to protect their host's mind.
Let's also not forget the fortune telling girl's first fortune in "Yesterday's Lie". Took me months to figure out what and I can only think of Belos becauae of the spiritual leader bit. This may have been a hint or foreshadow of Belos's past. It would make sense, especially since TOH is very well known for foreshadowing.
Now if this theory does hold merit, then this episode is going to be a lore dump of Belos's past. Learning the truth this will change how Hunter see's Belos and Luz either becomes fearful of his plan or in conflict with it as it does help her situation. However the episode turns out, it is definitely going to be one of the most eery and frightening episodes yet and I'm all for it!!!
