Is it racist when a white person obsesses over POC too much?? Not in the American performative "Don't worry I'm one of you" type way, but in a "Since you aren't white I want you to educate me on your culture, teach me your language and tell me everything there is to know because I view you not as a person but as a cultural phenomenon" type way. Watching Ben Shapiro's speech in Turning Point USA was so bizzare because it becomes so obvious that this guy was so ridiculously in denial for the Leopards eating faces party thing. He cultivated a fan base that was in many ways ultra conservative, racist etc. While he was originally hesitant to embrace Trump, he caved (probably not to lose his influence and popularity) and he hopped onto the MAGA train despite him being closer to whatever neocon thing Bush had going on compared to the populist antii establishment rhetoric of Trump. For a while I used to think he knew he was a token and he didn;t care bcs honestly how the fuck do you not know? Trump was yapping abt these globalist elites all the time and even if Trump isn't personally an antisemite he is willing to cultivate antisemitism to gain popularity. All the homophobis stuff abt ''LGBTQ ideology'' that Ben Shapiro preached lead almost inevitably to antisemitism bcs white supermacists want to believe that there is someone promoting this LGBTQ ideology and helping it grow big, and obviously it can't be the LGBTQ people themselves since they are lost degenerates, it needs to be someone cunning and evil and someone that hates christianity hm... And all the talk abt america being founded in judeochristian values? It is insane how apparently Ben shapiro couldn't guess that his christian nationalist audience really only pretended to get along with the ''judeo'' part. But now, after seeing his intense reactions to the rise of Carlson and Fuentes and his spech at TPUSA I think that for all his other horrible beliefs as a person, at least he genuinely cares abt jewish people. So what has basically occured is that the dude maintained insane levels of denial for years and now the realization is splashing all over his face. He tries to call the antisemites ''grifters'' that ''hijack'' MAGA (Denying that MAGA was always inherently antisemetic) but I think he deep down knows no one in his movement gives a shit abt antisemetism anymore. He knows bcs when he adresses the crowd in TPUSA he uses words abt how candance and so are grifters, nazis, anti american, anti conservative but doesn't use so much the word antisemetic to explain why they are bad.
