I imagined Gandalf walking through the young forest of Fangorn, summoning little lights to distract the juvenile Ents and avoid their wrath. Guess which Ent isn‘t amused about this distraction?

Their bond was so profound that they both left their origins behind to live together. Together, they founded one of the most important Elven kingdoms in Middle-earth. As my first work with oil paints, it was important to me to capture the mystical aura of Melian and the regal presence of Thingol in a harmonious and timeless scene.
