Rebane had been making horror films for more than 20 years #at this point but you'd be forgiven for thinking the man had never been behind a camera in his life; a kind of budget reimagining of The #Most Dangerous Game‚ where three elderly billionaires pay some young idiots to hang out at their mansion (very clearly an off season hotel)#so they can spook them a little bit. murder and mayhem follows but it's mostly confined to the temperature dropping every so often (thus #that alternate video title). absolute garbage script and sub professional acting‚ this is still surprisingly fun if only in a 'is this a #real film that cost real money?' kind of way. ends with a series of poorly thought out twists which make less and less sense until a final #shot which feels more like a middle finger to the audience than anything else. pure trash but of interest to those fools (like myself) who #get their kicks from obscure indie horror. oh also the soundtrack is almost entirely honky tonk piano. because of course it is

Rating: Interrobang/What?

The last scene turns it into a masterpiece of surrealist humor PLEASE watch this with at least a half a dozen people for best effect. Legit all of us were losing it at multiple parts of this film.

This one’s called ‘The Cold’ but also sometimes ‘The Game’ and I’m not sure which is the original title??

Meeting Tom Blair in real life

I just got back from meeting up with Kenny from Electradaddy

He happened to be near Hotlanta for the week and agreed to meet up so that I could pick his brain about all things accounting in reference to my small family business that I blog about infrequently over on my other tumblr.

It was really cool to meet the man behind the blog. He's just as cool and friendly as he comes off in his posts. And by cool, I mean friendly and likable, with a penchant for lady superheros, and lots of good Dairy Queen stories.

He gave me some great feedback on my initial attempts at accounting, it seems like I am on the right track, which is very reassuring. I brought Sparky along and told him that we were meeting an accountant to get some guidance on the vending machines. Afterwards, I asked him if he learned anything good?, and he was like, "no, I wasn't paying attention". That's ok, because I took notes.

As for Tom Blair, well Electraddy has this nifty voicemail app that transcribes your vmail into text and then sends you a copy. Yesterday when I called him, I ended up leaving a vmail and was promptly texted with a transcript of my message. It said "Hey, Kenny. It's TJ from Tom Blair. I got......"

What I had said was "Hey Kenny, it's TJ from tumblr..."

I thought, well yeah I could see how a computer could interpret "tumblr" as "Tom Blair". And then I thought, that could be a cool code word, when you're going to meet a tumblr friend in real life, you could say I'm going to meet up with Tom Blair.
