I have been bamboozled. Confuzzled. Confounded. Stupefied.

Abraxas Malfoy was born in 1918, and he graduated Hogwarts in 1936. He is older than Tom and they'd never even have met in school! Tom started Hogwarts in 1937, so they would have just missed each other.

So why oh why did fanfic convince me they're the same age? Wowowow. I mean, a lot of fics get that Orion was a little younger than Tom, but not that Abraxas wasn't even in school with them?

Not that I mind or anything. Au is great and all but wow did fandom really convince me those two are the same age haha.

Edit circa 5 minutes later: oh wait false alarm guys I am a victim of the misinformation train. The first thing that popped up on Google was someone's au so we don't actually know when Abraxas Malfoy was born haha. The official wiki does say pre-1953 but he could still have been born in Tom's time. Or afterwards, for all we know. Damn. Still, the point stands. Fandom really collectively decided that those two are the same age.

Favorite fic: Our Bruises, Each Pristine. it was written for the @deancasbigbang and I think it is my best story, best written and constructed. It was really fun to write Evil!Dean as well, I think I might need to write another fic with him (although maybe not this version of him). @curlzformetal made this amazing art for it, and @silver9mm was great as a beta who really helped me work through the difficult bits.

Hardest fic: Stagnation, by far. I stalled writing on this one so badly, it is still a WIP. I apologise to everyone who is waiting on it, to the @tomarrybigbang mods, and especially @hannars97 who was my partner and made beautiful art for the fic. I am not sure when I will finish it.

Do you plan to take prompts in 2018? I write from prompts sometimes, but only sometimes. Many of them don’t inspire anything, and I am far too distracted by whatever plot bunnies I’m already inventing. I still have roughly 30 WIPS, most unpublished, and another 16 ideas to write.

What was the best thing about 2017? I think my writing ability has improved a great deal over the last year, and I have become better at editing too. I have also met a great deal of lovely people, other writers, betas and artists. @ganceann @kuwlshadow @dreamsfromthebunker @paperannxo @shannon-kind @dangerousnotbroken @firefly124 @anonymousantonym @kefalion @threshie just to name a few! Also, I met a few people in person! @saawek @elnawen @deanscasanova @tinkdw @whelvenwings and @bluestar86

What was the worst thing about 2017? Not finishing Stagnation. I took on too much work at the same time again. I do have a better idea of my abilities now, and have decided not to take part in any big bang or challenge without having most of the fic draft written already, so hopefully I will be able to avoid disappointing art partners in the future. 

Any last thoughts for 2017? It was an interesting year.
