1 to 1 1/2 cups extra virgin olive oil enough to cover
6 whole garlic cloves peeled
3 to 4 sprigs fresh thyme or rosemary
1 bay leaf optional
1/2 tsp sea salt
pinch cracked black pepper optional
step one preparing the vessel
preheat oven to 250f
choose a shallow dish so tomatoes rest together
whisper into the oil calling patience sweetness soft unraveling
step two the submersion
arrange tomatoes in single layer
tuck garlic cloves and herbs between
