(a/n: i figured i’d combine the two asks, two birds with one stone! hope you enjoy <3)

chihoon is the lazy type. not in the sense that he’s not productive or anything like that, he can just be a little slow to get up in the morning. because of this, wake-up kisses wouldn’t be too effective. all you’d earn was a few soft grunts as if to say “leave me alone, i’m sleeping”. generally though, kisses with chihoon would be quick and sweet (especially if you were in public since he isn’t much for pda). when the two of you get intimate, chihoon’s kisses are still very chaste and you’re often the one who takes the lead. chihoon’s favorite place to kiss you is on your nose.

donggeon would be quite a heavy sleeper, similarly to chihoon. the difference would be that donggeon wouldn’t be so unresponsive; after a few attempts of waking him up with kisses either on his forehead or shoulder, he’d get the message and turn to face you. he’d greet you with a lazy smile and a good morning in his raspy voice, and obviously kisses back. donggeon loved to kiss you any chance he got. he loved to show you and your relationship off, even at the most random moments. one time you had accompanied the boys to one of their styling appointments and donggeon had just pulled you into his lap, placing a lingering kiss on your lips–this happened in front of everyone. he was a bit of an exhibitonist, and this certainly carried over into your sex life. donggeon’s favorite place to kiss you is on your collarbones.

jerome is a pretty light sleeper–waking him up with kisses is sure to elicit a response. you love to do it because whenever he feels your lips wake him, he’ll let out the sweetest giggle you’d ever heard. he’s another one who likes to be babied, and you weren’t gonna deny him of that! you loved to take the lead with romance in your relationship with jerome, kisses and things were often initiated by you. sex was also initiated by you 9 out of 10 times, the one time being when you were acting especially bratty and he needed to do something about it. jerome’s favorite place to kiss you is on your shoulder.

woonggi is the ultimate baby, but he’s also the ultimate beauty enthusiast. this means that he’d hate to be woken up prematurely, even if it was from your kisses. beauty sleep was more important that anything, but in the off chance that he wasn’t shoving your head under a pillow in an attempt to force you back to sleep, he’d let out a soft giggle and flash his signature woonggi smile. everything about yours and woonggi’s was super sweet, tooth-rotting sweet. kisses were the same! the two of you both liked to be babied, and subsequently ended up babying each other. woonggi’s favorite place to kiss you is on your cheeks.

"Why are you always with Jeyou?"

It's the kind of question that insinuates that you're the one to receive the blame. You don't even need to hear your own words, or a direct accusation to understand that he's blaming you for something. Though you only receive half of the blame, the other half is now resting in Kim Jeyou's unworn shoes.

"Me?" You ask as you point at yourself. There is no one else that he could direct the words to. Six beds against the wall but no one around you, especially not Jeyou who coincidentally resides in one of the upper bunks.

In response to your incomprehension, Chan hums. It's not the sweet hum that could resemble a song, it's the short and strict hum that answers a bold "yes," to your question. The wordless response leaves you even more confused. But Chan isn't willing to connect the dots for you, you could figure it out on your own.

"Me?" You ask again, though it's just a pause so that you can briefly remember the previous hint Chan gave you. "Always being with Jeyou?" You finally finish the question.

And just like last time, Chan doesn't use words to give you an answer. It's a question that shouldn't even be asked, how can you not be aware of your actions? Whenever you're around at the dorms, it seems like you come for Jeyou rather than for him. Sometimes the two of you are in front of the tv, other times you help him monitor his performance, and there was even one time when the two of you went out for dinner.

The first few times, he thought it might be because you felt closest to him rather than other members. But those thoughts had transitioned when he came to find out you shared your midnight snack with Jeyou whilst he wasn't home. Something that Jerome had told him about accidentally in a ramble of how good the night had been! Eventually, it turned into jealousy: jealousy of the way you acted towards his younger member and perhaps of the amount of time you spent together.

"I don't always spend time with Jeyou." You calmly protest against Chan's silence, he didn't seem to budge at all after your question which leaves you to lead the conversation. But before you're able to explain yourself and your - apparently wrong - actions, Chan interrupts.

"You do! It's always Jeyou! And where am I, your boyfriend, Cho Chanhyuk?!"

His words are said loudly, his long lost feelings coming out in the form of a snap. You weren't even sure if he was capable of that as most arguments were calm with mutual understanding and respect. Something that now seems far from the case, and it disappoints you. Not to forget how you're disappointed because of his assumptions.

"You know why?" You calmly say but the high tone of your voice already gives away the underlying feelings. You want to be calm but as he loses his temper, you unconsciously start feeling the same way. "Because you're never home. You're always at the studio with Chihoon. So I come here to wait for you, but I hang around with the others because I'm bored. And Jeyou is just a good friend!"

After your short outburst, it gets quiet, neither of you says something. You can only hear your own breathing as you come down from the high, not the pleasured high, but the peak of your frustration. Chan is staring at you, and you know, even if you decided to break eye-contact.

"Is that an excuse?" The audacity. Chan even dares to ask that question whilst knowing that you're not the one to blame. "I go there to work on my music!" he says. If those first words asked you if you were making excuses, then he surely is by the time his mouth opens again. Working on music might be a good excuse, but that doesn't take away that it's still an excuse.

"Working on music is an excuse, Chanhyuk." You clarify. The sigh that leaves your lips is one out of disbelief and even Chan can notice the particles of negative emotions that now float in the air.

An excuse. The words linger towards Chan's mind and he can't help but realise the things that you're saying. Not only is working on music an excuse, but his entire existence as your boyfriend is also an excuse. From his jealousy, to never being home when you are around: excuses.

"You're right," Chan says after a few seconds of quietness. Though his mind was far from quiet during those seconds: all he could think of was him making endless excuses and making you feel like it was you who made them up. "I'm sorry for blaming you," his words are quiet but they get slightly louder as he approaches you. His hands reach out for yours the moment he is close enough, and you allow him to take them in his.

First, he couldn't stop blaming you, and now the apologies continue to fall from his lips. The second "I'm sorry," easily slips past his lips. And above underneath the grey-lavender coloured bangs, you can see his expressive brown eyes. It almost appears like he's apologising with them, showing you his compassion.

Chan tugs at both of your hands gently, pulling them until you have no other option but to wrap your arms around him before you fall. Within seconds, his arms engulf you tightly.

"I'll spend more time with you and I'll even take you to the studio. I promise I'll try to spend more time with you, starting today." He promises. He shifts his gaze to the right height to find your eyes, looking into them as soon as he finds them. He's careful, waiting until your reaction shows, he doesn't want to say anything wrong and have things take the worst turn again.

You believe him and it shows. Your eyes lighten up at the words, mostly because you're relieved that you don't misunderstand or blame each other. "And when you come home, I'll make sure to spend more time with you too." You say. Perhaps there was a bit of truth in Chan's words, you had been around Jeyou even when Chan was just in the room writing lyrics. Both of you made mistakes and, in the future, still would.

"It's all okay again," Chan whispers as he rests his forehead against yours, finding comfort in the embrace you share and the genuine words. You hum in response, the kind of hum of relief and perhaps even put of adoration. "I love you," he says to you.

As your foreheads separate, your lips connect in a kiss. A kiss out of love that you gladly share. His lips move slowly against yours, putting in all of the love the two of you had been missing out on for the past time.

"I love you too," you whisper in response, his lips curling up into a smile as he feels your heart on your lips as you say the words.

A/N: i intended for this to be a drabble esp since i literally just put it together really quickly in my notes app pshshs i hope it’s not too long to be considered one ;-; but yes pls enjoy either way!! it’s so cute and fluffy

it’s valentines day and once again you don’t have a romantic interest to spend this day with. usually you would spend this day going on a ‘date’ with your best friends, but for the first time in your life they all have significant others they would rather be spending this day with. it never used to bother you that you were alone on this day, knowing that it’s just a capitalist scam and just an excuse for companies to exploit & bribe couples and make single people feel like shit for being single. well it was working this time. you did feel like shit for being alone this year, suddenly the streets were filled with couples everywhere or people on their way to see their significant others; roses, chocolates & extravagant gifts in hand. when you got back to your unit you were so thankful, finally free from couples and ‘love’ being shoved down your throat, leaning back against your door with a sigh. you get changed into your pajamas, light some candles in your bathroom and prepare to run a bath - you were going to be your own valentine and pamper yourself, show yourself some love. you picked up the phone preparing to order some takeout when your doorbell rings. you look through the peephole and feel your heart skip a beat in your chest, you open the door with the gobsmacked look unknowingly still on your face.

“c-chan? what are you doing here?” you stuttered. chan had been your friend for a long time, you two were never super close but he was still a part of your friend group that you’ve had since high school.

“when i heard you were spending this valentines day alone, i couldn’t help myself” he smiles, handing you the bouquet he bought for you, along with a plushie of your favourite sanrio character with a balloon attached to it.

“oh… but still you didn’t have to get me anything chan, and why didn’t you just call me and actually make plans with me you dummy? i feel bad that you came all the way over to my house” you move over so he can come in.

“i know, but i couldn’t come empty handed. plus, the element of surprise is always better” he chuckles, shuffling his shoes off.

“but now i’m in my pajamas and i have my bath running, with surprise i can’t be prepared and look nice” you whine, moving to your kitchen to put the gifts on the bench.

“hey now, don’t say that you look gorgeous regardless - perhaps even more so” he smiles sweetly. you roll your eyes and go to your bathroom to turn the tap to the bath off. he waits in the kitchen for you and when you return he seems off.

“are you okay?” you giggle, laughing at his sudden stiffness. he awkwardly laughs in response.

“look i can’t hold it in anymore” he groans at himself.

“hold in what? if you need to pee you can go” you laugh.

“i- what? no! i have a confession” he yells. your stomach drops, was he going to say what you think he’s going to say?

“well, get on with it then” you’re so thankful you’re not facing him right now and are washing your dishes instead, otherwise he’d see your face suddenly being so pale.

“i.. like you. i have liked you since high school and i know that might seem farfetched because we’ve both dated people in that time but i only did it in hopes of getting my mind off you, especially since you were always the one to date other people first. it killed me inside, and i can’t live with these emotions hidden away anymore. i don’t expect you to feel the same but i hope it doesn’t make things awkward, i don’t want to lose you” he rambles, not breathing once. you freeze, almost dropping your plate on the floor. you turn around quickly, staring at him in shock.

“are you serious chanhyuk? i liked you for almost two whole years, i was whipped!!” you screamed, storming up to him with your arms crossed.

“i know! but i didn’t find out until after you started dating that dude… what was his name, david? and i only started to really fall for you after that. when i found out i was so heartbroken, our friends didn’t let me live that down and still don’t” chan confesses.

“so? what do you expect me to do?! you can’t just dump this on me out of nowhere…” you feel so confused, your heart is about to beat out of your chest.

“i don’t know… i don’t expect anything, i told you that. i just couldn’t hold it in anymore, it’s been a really long time that i’ve been holding this all in” he exhales harshly.

“i mean i, never really lost feelings for you. you don’t ever really lose feelings for your first love, right? you still make my heart skip a beat sometimes, like when i saw you outside of my door i almost fainted” you mumble, not even knowing what you’re saying.

“really?” he asks, his cheeks turning pink. “yeah… i guess i never really addressed it myself and just pushed it to the back of my mind because i was too scared, especially after all this time” you say more to yourself than to him.

“i see” chan replies, not knowing what to say at all. you fiddle with your fingers, unable to look up at him. he grabs your hands, rubbing his thumbs over yours. you look up at him in surprise. he leans in slowly, kissing your cheek, then the side of your lips. his face freezes right in front of yours, lips ghosting over yours ever so slightly. it’s as if he was testing the waters & waiting to see if you’d move away or not, which he was. your lips are aching to feel his against them, your eyes not moving their frozen gaze from his lips just inches from yours. you can’t take it anymore and you lean in, connecting your lips together. chan lets out an exhale from his nose, clearly relieved that you made the move. his arms wrap around your waist and your arms move to his shoulders. you’ve never felt such fireworks while kissing someone before in your life, it was ethereal & heavenly. it was so passionate and filled with all the love and heartache you felt for each other all these years, as if the universe was finally celebrating that you two had finally come together. you both pull away, absolutely breathless and in shock.

“well that was definitely worth waiting for” chan breathes.

Achromatopsia.

The term used to describe a complete lack of colour, the hard synonym for a much simpler word, colourblindness. In the medical world, they call it a syndrome, sometimes even a symptom that might exhibit up to five different conditions. With one out of 30,000 newborns being born with achromatopsia, you and your soulmate belong somewhere in that prevalence.

As far as you've been told, there are two sorts of achromatopsia. In the first sort, some still see limited colours. In the second sort, only shades can be perceived. You and your soulmate belong to the latter category, in which only black, white, and grey shades can be perceived. No colours, only shades.

It might sound like you know a lot about achromatopsia and a lot about your soulmate. Though none of the knowledge in your mind has been provided by a professional or formal literature. You took it upon yourself to make use of the internet and search for meanings: the meaning behind your monochrome vision, the meaning behind the unknown person your soul longed for. Despite the endless websites telling you somewhat similar things, you didn't live up to them. Connect the dots from achromatopsia and soulmates and you come to your own conclusion: your syndrome would be healed once you look into the eyes of your soulmate.

Despite knowing of the existence of your soulmate and knowing he's the only person that can cure your achromatopsia, you distance yourself from it. You don't actively look for him like other people would, you don't give in to the ache in your heart. Rather than looking for your soulmate: you wander around the streets and wonder whether other people are achromats like you. You might not be able to see it in their eyes, but it doesn't stop you from observing them.

Why don't you look for your soulmate? Because you fear the moment you will see colours for the first time and realise that the world is much better with simple greyish shades. It's a white lie you've told yourself so many times that you stopped seeing it as a lie. Hidden from yourself is the fear that you will never find your soulmate if you actively look for him.

Today isn't any different from the days where you observe strangers on the street. Even though you had a day off and wanted nothing but to spend it inside your apartment with a good unfinished series, you are obligated to go outside. Due to the empty fridge in your kitchen, you find yourself lurking over the streets, headed to the nearest convenience store.

You wouldn't mind skipping breakfast, but even that doesn't mean that you don't have to leave your house. You need to have three meals a day and your fridge doesn't even hold enough ingredients for one, so it's obvious that you have to drag yourself to the store first thing in the morning. That's how you end up on the street as early as nine in the morning: too early for crowded streets, too late to avoid other humans.

Your eyes scan over the outside world, staring ahead but still seeing the many aspects of the city: the black shaded street that you walk on and the grey buildings that line up ahead of you. A coffee shop to your left and a flower shop on your right: you don't see the beige interior of the coffee shop, neither do you see the pink coloured flower bouquets. Everything is grey, devoid of colours.

Halted feet now stand in the middle of the street as an old couple greets you good morning. If you assign a colour to their friendly smiles: it would be yellow like the rays of the morning sun. A yellow you never experienced but as you greet one another, you feel the warmth of the sun on your shoulders. "Have a nice day," you say politely as an end to the conversation.

Your halted feet stop their alignment when you take a step forward to continue your path towards the store, though your eyes don't move along just yet, they are still following the old and probably soulmate-labelled couple.

Interference. Your shoulder bumps against someone else's body after merely one more step forward. Your head is fast to turn but the rest of your body is still in shock because of the collision. Before either of you can fall, you grasp for one another's arm even though there had been no risk of falling.

"I'm so sorry!" You apologise quickly, standing up straight after all physical contact is broken between the two of you. You're now eyeball to eyeball with the stranger, though both of you are looking down at the street, the alignment of your feet.

The stranger coughs awkwardly, mumbling a response. "It's fine, I should have looked where I was going. Are you okay?" He asks you. His voice is deep and yet, it's unlike all of the other deep voices you heard before. Due to answer-demanding question, you raise your head to look at the stranger.

Eyeball to eyeball. You gaze into his dark brown eyes with your own, the pigmented colour hues apart from the black you usually see. The skin around his eyes isn't any type of grey: it's one of the many skin tones that exist in the pigmented world.

"I…," you don't come further than that with your words: not because you suddenly aren't so okay anymore, but because you are speechless. Your eyes start to dart over every possible inch of his face: the soft colour of his lips, his light blonde hair that nicely contrasts with the bright red beret he's wearing on top of that hair.

Without looking for his eyes, yours meet his. "I can see colours," he announces to you, his eyes now fixated onto yours even though he wishes to discover every colour that you have to offer him. "Me too," you say in response. The endless colour palette is inked onto him: almost like what you expect a rainbow to be, but with even more colours.

"My name is Chihoon."

His name alone makes you smile even though you're no longer able to assign a colour to him, he's the entire palette of colours that is imprinted on your head in grey shades. He's the blue of the grey sky you saw, the gold of the grey necklace around your neck. He's each of the ten million colours that exist.

"I'm y/n," you tell him. Your name makes a smile coat his plump lips, his heart no longer coloured in a dark grey shade, but in the red that could resemble a love, he never experienced before. You look like the most beautiful painted canvas, inked in colours he's yet to discover.

Chihoon reaches out his hand to yours, the touch as soft as the beige sand of the beach. Your fingers intertwine with his and gently clasp over the top of his hand just like his fingers curl between your knuckles. The monochrome one-person portrait in your apartment would transition into the beautifully coloured picture of you and your soulmate.

"Colour will always change your perspective, just as love will always change your life around."

The yawn that slips past Jaeyun's lips swiftly blends in with the white noise of the room, an almost inaudible sound that you might hear in a low-quality ASMR video, but Jaeyun is completely unaware of the sounds encircling him.

Unlike his confessions in multiple interviews: there are no thirty alarms to wake him up from his slumber, neither is he seated straight while snoring away the exhaustion. If either of the two habits took place right now, his eyes would have been opened for over three hours and his cheeks wouldn't look as puffed as they do now.

If there is something his body is unconsciously aware of, it's the almost-unfamiliar material on which his back is resting. Instead of the thin and hard mattress on his narrow lower bunk, it seems like he's resting on a white cloud drifting towards heaven. Though that's only a term to describe the heavenly feeling of his body against the soft mattress in your bedroom.

On both sides of the bed, there's a leftover quarter that isn't occupied, and right in the middle is Jaeyun. He unknowingly rolled over a few times to look for your body, unaware that you had gotten up a little bit over an hour ago. Luckily, as otherwise you would have been shoved towards one of the leftover quarters. Out of the bedroom and into your apartment's kitchen, there is you, preparing breakfast for Jaeyun.

Why would you prepare breakfast for Jaeyun? A single stranger might have wondered why a lover would have said it's one of the many things you do out of love. But if you were to answer that question, you would simply say it was a late surprise for Jaeyun's birthday.

Thus, you had been occupied in the kitchen from the moment you left the bedroom until now. It started with getting the ingredients ready, then you went on to prepare a variety of Jaeyun's favourite morning dishes and then plated them up nicely. Everything you made, you place on a tray. Just like the coffee that was poured in two mugs after brewing.

With the tray between your two hands, you leave the kitchen and walk towards the bedroom. The door is still slightly open which makes it possible for you to open it with your elbow before slipping in silently.

"Jaeyun," you silently breathe out, it's a mere whisper that obviously won't be heard. Your footsteps are louder than your whisper is, but it's still not enough to wake the young man from his peaceful sleep. Of course, you're nowhere as loud as his alarm is, and he's overly used to sleeping around noisy members and discussing staff members

You place your hand on the underside of the tray so that you have an unoccupied hand, though your free hand soon gets a new task: moving away belongings from the bedside table onto the floor. You sweep your hand over the surface until the pack of tissues and phone charger hit the floor. Once the minimal amount of space has been cleared, you place the breakfast-filled tray down on the surface.

You open your mouth to speak once more. "Jaeyun, wake up, love," you say softly, almost hesitatingly. Your hand reaches out for his, carefully placing your hand over his to shake gently. It's a shame to wake him up: he doesn't always get as much rest as he truly needs and whenever he's with you, that usually changes. Then again, you want to belatedly celebrate his birthday with a simple breakfast.

The repetition of his name, makes Jaeyun stir lightly, slowly awakening from his sleep. You soundlessly observe the moment: his arms that straighten above his head until they hit the headboard, the little sways his body makes in a moment of instability, his eyes that slowly blink to bring colour to the monochrome world. But most importantly, that content smile when the realisation hits him. He's in your bedroom, so you must be around too.

Jaeyun's tired eyes start to dart around the room, faster than they can adjust to the changing colour hues with each corner observed. The sunlight almost blinds him when he looks towards the window, but within a second, it's contrasted by the sight of the nude coloured walls on the other side of the room. After checking each corner of the room, he almost concludes that you've already left the bedroom. "y/n?" He calls out as he straightens his body until he's sitting up in the bed.

Though, before you can answer to his worry-filled call, he visually receives an answer when he sees you standing right next to his side of the bed. His eyes adapt to the mood right away: the worry is replaced by happiness and relief as he sees you. And even the tired smile graces his lips once more. "Good morning," you speak softly.

"Good morning," Jaeyun greets back. As you walk around the bed towards your own side, you can feel that Jaeyun's eyes never leave you, just to make sure that you're not going to leave the bedroom. Though before you even sit down on the bed, Jaeyun's attention shifts when he can smell fresh coffee.

Jaeyun's eyes discover the breakfast-filled tray on the bedside table: from the different edible goods, to the black coffee and even the little decorations scattered across the small surface. It makes a slight smile form on his lips, he knows it's for him as you wouldn't gracefully decorate it for yourself.

He lifts the tree from the small table and places it on the middle of the bed, making sure neither of your legs are underneath the already unstable tray. "This looks good," he comments with a smile, fingers toying with the handle of the mug before going to the fake rose petals.

"I figured you deserve some breakfast as a belated birthday gift," you say; clearly embarrassed by your own confession. When you say it like that, it makes you seem like a mushy person in love, which might exactly explain who you are. You're in love with Jaeyun and he always brings out the softest side of you: making breakfast, giving the most random kisses, complimenting everything he does. The list is endless.

Jaeyun eyes you while you explain, his eyes observing the little signals that give away your embarrassment: the way words leave your lips faster or the way you keep touching your ears as they are heating up. Embarrassed or not, Jaeyun thinks it's adorable. "Didn't you give me like five gifts already?" He playfully asks, provoking your cheeks into feeling even hotter than they already do.

"Maybe," you respond. His first birthday gift was a bracelet with his name engraved in it, following the same day was the party you organised together with the other members, and alongside those two were all of the other little things you did. Each time you'd say it was a birthday gift, perhaps an excuse to spoil Jaeyun just a little bit more. "I'll take this as the sixth and last present then," he says with a small grin on his lips.

Due to his hunger, Jaeyun digs in. Starting with a sip of coffee before he stuffs his mouth with the different morning meals available. Whenever he hums in approval, you can't help but smile because you know he's enjoying it. Sometimes the two of you share small laughs, followed by laughter. But as Jaeyun's mouth is stuffed with food, he can't help but stay quiet until the food is chewed and swallowed.

"Happy belated birthday!" You playfully say once the two of you are finished with breakfast. The plates are almost empty and the last droplets of coffee have been downed. As a response to your words, Jaeyun lets out a soft chuckle. "It's a shame that my birthday is only once a year," he says.

Jaeyun wraps his arm around your shoulder, drawing you closer until you almost fall sideways into his embrace. Your body is now leaning against his, though, it's his lips that are lingering against the soft skin of your cheek. "Thank you for making it seem like every day is my birthday," he mumbles, his lips puckered for a kiss after each word he says. And once his gratefulness has been outed, the kisses trail towards your lips.

Each kiss closer to your lips makes you smile more in anticipation, the tingles in your stomach only getting more intense. You might have shared over a thousand kisses, and there's an equal amount of symbolical butterflies fluttering around in your stomach.

His lips finally reach yours, hovering over yours with a light brush that makes you long for the affection even more. "You have no idea how much I love you," the movement of his lips send small vibrations through yours until the moment he properly presses his lips against yours. A soft, yet firm kiss to thank you for the unconditional love and happiness.

you and chanhyuk sat hand in hand in a cozy cafe. it was late, a light snow just barely dusting the outside in white. the room was dimly lit by a small fireplace set in the corner.

when you were with chan, you noticed all the little things about him that made your heart flutter. his big smile, the perfect curve of his nose. the way no one could make you smile like he could, the way he made you feel like if the whole world had disappeared and only left the two of you, you’d be just fine. the way he made you feel safe—safe from the world. you used to be so scared of everything, scared of yourself, scared of your mind and the places it often took you. numb. when you met chan it was like all of that washed away, like the water to a tide, loving away the fear. he took you as you were and he never tried to “fix you”. he just always did his best to be there, even when you became a little much; that was all you needed from him. you loved the way you knew that you and chan were meant to be, as if you had been intertwined by some higher beings of the universe.

"Please don't."

Those were the first two words you offered Minsu today, and it was the start of everything that would soon follow. The plea is as clear as the sky on a warm summer day: shaded light blue, but despite the lightness, unmistakably blue. Yet, there's a grey cloud that slowly drags floats until it forms a layer over the sky, blurring the view. Just like how your boyfriend's actions blur your short plea. Minsu has no interest in complying your request.

Usually, Minsu would respect your preferences and listen well to you. It's something you don't mean in a sense where a puppy listens well to its owner, but in a different way. You mean that he has a good sense for knowing when someone needs a listening ear and an understanding nod. Though today, it appears like someone is being very stubborn. It's considerable whether that unnamed stubborn person is truly you or Minsu.

You can sense he's trying to approach you, but you're not having any of it. You roll over in bed, distancing yourself from him as far as you can without dropping down from the mattress. When his hands are no longer long enough to reach you without the help of his feet, you lie still.

The breathing that fills the room is heavy. Just like running burns calories, rolling over in bed drains all of your energy. Your tired body fills itself to the brim, overflowing with exhaustion.

"I have to, y/n," Minsu tells you. What he's saying next is something not completely false, but whether it was true is up to the doctor to decide. Though you won't allow a doctor to stop by and use the different equipment on you: not a stethoscope, neither a thermometer. "You're sick."

Your eyes meet for a short moment, the moment that you should be having to see whether he planned on approaching you again. But once you notice the brown eyes are worriedly glancing at you, you melt under them. You're glued to the mattress: too tired to make big motor-skill movements, too influenced by his eyes to decline.

"I'm not sick."

"Then what?" Minsu asks you. He sounds genuinely interested in your answer, despite not dropping his opinion on the situation. The symptoms tell him enough, or at least, more than your words do.

It all started on the last day of the weekend with sleepiness, you slept until three hours after noon, long after Minsu had left the bed. Over the span of four days, the symptoms had worsened. Sleepiness, dizziness, vomiting after a meal and fever. All of those were now at the base of your possible sickness.

"I just didn't sleep well," you excuse the serious symptoms. It's even stupid that you momentarily believe that he will fall for the lame excuse, but after the words leave your lips, you realise that it's far from believable. "You didn't sleep well?" Minsu inquires.

"Then what have you been doing these past hours? Days?" His question-filled words cause the room to not fall silent for a few seconds. On his head are even more questions even though he doesn't need to ask them: he knows you're sick, you are the only one who doesn't seem to realise it.

Caught in a lie, by telling something truthful. That's how you're left once Minsu starts questioning your actions over the past few days. You've been in bed for approximately twenty hours a day, only getting up when you had a meal waiting for you or when you needed to go to the bathroom. Though the minimal amount of sleep was achieved in those days: twenty hours in a bed of which you'd spend only around three sleeping. "I can't sleep well," you say but don't finish there. "... Because I don't feel well."

Wordlessly, Minsu moves to sit on the edge of the bed. "Are you tired?" he inquires curiously. One of his hands is stroking over your bare underarm, while the other is roaming around the bed to find his lost phone. The little device is found after a few seconds of slow-paced hunting, gripped between his thumb and other fingers.

He doesn't miss the way your head lightly moves up and down before you drop it on the pillow. "Let's rest a bit then," he says in a softer tone. His eyes momentarily leave you unwatched, instead, his eyes are on his phone as his fingertip does some fast exploring.

Right as he puts his phone down on the mattress, a soft voice comes from the device. Donggeon's vocals introducing the song that you love so much, the song that allows you to feel the wide range of emotions: it laces your heart and soul.

Minsu's sitting position transitions, within seconds he's lying next to you on the bed. His fingertips that were tracing over your arm, now trail towards your wrist, ending in your hand which he gently holds. Your hand embraced by his, which promotes the nurturing and calm feeling that now spreads through your veins.

A little less than one hundred eighty seconds pass by: each second Minsu's voice seems to fade out a little more. The lyrics he's been serenely singing aligned with the song, slowly become incomprehensible as the sound waves merely arrive in your eardrums. Exhaustion closes your eyelids in a gentle lock, whilst Minsu is the angel that lulls you to sleep.

"Everything's gonna be alright," is the last audible lyric to your ears but Minsu's presence lingers. Bright as the sun on a warm summer day, in an unmistakably blue sky.
