So yeah we road the Highway to the Danger Zone and went to see Top Gun: Maverick It wasn't one I was interested in seeing and wasn't really a movie I was excited for or waiting for. I personally didn't really like the first one all that much so that is what lead to my lack of interest in this one, but others wanted to see it so I went too.

Now personally the movie is pretty good I can't say I loved it and I can't say I hated it I can just say it was pretty good.

This one opens the exact same way as the original one with the title card describing what "Top Gun" is and had a montage of fighter jets on a aircraft carrier as the Kenny Loggins - Danger Zone plays over it. before it actually gets into the movie and starts were Tom Cruise's 'Maverick' is. This is like 30 years after the first one so 'Maverick' is now working as a test pilot until he is called back to the TopGun school at the request of Val Kilmer's 'Iceman' to train the next generation of pilots for a extremely dangerous mission and one of the New Generation is Lt. Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw (played by Miles Teller) the grown son of 'Maverick's partner 'Goose' (played by Anthony Edwards) who died and 'Rooster' blames 'Maverick' for his death which leads to a bit of conflict there.

The mission is they have to bomb a foreign country's uranium processing plant which is kinda hidden under ground and the only way to destroy it is to fly in low though this canyon and shoot missiles into this tiny ventilation shaft. which kinda made me laugh while watching this being that their plan of attack is the same one the Rebels used to destroy the Death Star in Star Wars they had to fly down a trench and shoot proton torpedoes into a small exhaust port it was like the same thing! but there is no Star Wars reference I probably would have put one in if I was writing it.

other then that the visuals were all amazing all the plane flying sequences were really cool and that is probably the best part of the movie. That is what you are there to see all the aerial action.

other then that the acting was great and the music was good too and there was a bit of humor in there also.

but in the end like I said it was pretty good. It wasn't one I was looking forward too but I enjoyed it for the most part and I would say if you love the first one then you'll probably love this one too.
