Oh yikes - they're a bit outside of Huntsville where a tornado just turned to a PDS :////

So far from the sections of the storm im watching columbia has the only fatality but theres multiple ppl missing. But apparently theres tornadoes as far north as Michigan

Most houses in the area where I live have basements for tornado shelters but people are so used to them that they stand on the street or the porch to watch. I still think tornado sirens are the creepiest sound ever.

Pffft that sounds like people here. When there’s flooding everyone pulls out their paddle boards even though there are warnings that it’s dangerous. And that sound is terrifying in the stormchaser videos so I can only imagine how scary it is in person! Thank you for helping to fuel my tornado phobia anon x

JFC I was just watching a film on Netflix about tornados whilst having some lunch, and OMG, I had completely forgotten about the tornado siren in the States...

The sound of it reminded me of when five of us from uni were in a massive park in Michigan on the day we were supposed to fly back to the UK and these sirens suddenly started going off - we had no clue what it was until someone told us it was a tornado warning o.O

Honestly, hearing that again just made my hair stand on end.

So weird how such a sound can trigger such an intense response - thanks brain and body!

there's a tornado warning like 20 miles from here and the storm is headed for us but like. the sirens have already gone off once today and it was nothing. and I'm just trying to get to braums and get some ice cream before the next round gets here lmao #tornadoalleyprobs

Update! Everything is okay here, my dad was able to bring me home and stuff and everything is fine. <3 So I'll continue to update per the norm. :D
