Can't believe it's been 30 years today since the first Resident Evil game was released!

Thank you @officialcapcom and @residentevil for 30 years of action, jump scares, oddly calming music, punching boulders and - at least for the first few games - battling camera angles! 💪

Oh, and also for the eye candy that is Leon S. Kennedy 😻

Bonus thank you for making the RE2 Remake RPD uniform such a versatile and parent-friendly cosplay to return to conventions to with our little one 😅🥰

Friday 13th gave some really cursed shift vibes yesterday, but we made it through 💪

One of the nicest things happened though: An extremely anxious patient asked for a hug after her scan and told me she can sense auras before saying that I gave off an overwhelming amount of positivity and empathy.

I replied with a light-hearted "I try" and she told me "No, you even need to try. It just comes naturally. Just keep being you."

The mole got eaten while his brothers were in mortal peril and they escaped by a hair’s breadth because the WURM turned up without warning… warning someone “monitoring the situation” might have given them notice of!!

The topiary got eaten because the WURM was chasing his bros and nearly ate them!!!

How did Virg have a bad time in firebreak? He only saw a spider! Scott and Kayo nearly fell down a waterfall!!

Sooooo @megaconlive was our little one's first taste of conventions and cosplay - and our first time back at a con since the pandemic.

Was I apprehensive? Yes!

Were we totally blown away with positivity? Absolutely!

Did our little one have a great time? Totally!

Thanks to everyone who interacted with us and her - especially the lovely volunteer who gave her an axolotl, the Spider-Man group who were so patient with her when she got super shy, and the Cardcaptor Sakura cosplayers who gave her an Eevee sticker 🥰

It's our first convention since the pandemic, and Leona's first taste of cosplay and con life!

Sadly won't be in my TAG cosplay as decided to go for something with more... Tactical pockets for toddler snacks, etc.

Would be aces to catch up with some like-minded people there! 😻

Welp. It's finally happened.

Finally a chance to crack out a cosplay for the first time since the pandemic.

Glad that this cosplay still fits as a few things have happened since then - most notably motherhood.

Speaking of - we'll be taking the little one to her first convention experience this Sunday! Exciting times!

Also, the reason why this is a good cosplay to take her to her first convention... because pockets. Lots of pockets!

Can't wait to catch up with some familiar faces and meet some new ones too! 😻
