REVEALED: Astarion Secret Lair cards, Original Adventure arts, and more for Dungeons & Dragons 50th Anniversary!

Over the past few days, we've seen some exclusive looks at what's to come in two of the Dungeons & Dragons x Secret Lair Super Drop, particularly for Astarion and An Exhibition of Adventure. There are 5 cards for Astarion's Thirst, and 7 in An Exhibition of Adventure. What's interesting about these cards in particular is that they are designed with original artwork from Dungeons & Dragons' first debut 50 years ago!

Within An Exhibition of Adventure you will find some OG artwork of a Beholder, the Player's Handbook and the Basic Red Dragon! If you've been a long-time fan of Dungeons & Dragons, and you're a Magic Player, perhaps this is definitely a set to pick up.

Inside An Exhibition of Adventure the cards are as follows:

Pokemon announces collaboration with LEGO!

For years fans of Pokemon and LEGO have dreamed of a collaboration between the two, the closest we got at any point were custom builds or the sets that MEGA had to offer. Well, in the past few minutes an official announcement has been made by The Pokemon Company has been released stating that in 2026 we will see LEGO Pokemon begin to hit the shelves!

They've been incredibly under wraps about this, with information trickling in that was first seen on Reddit this morning. This opens up so many avenues for both Pokemon and LEGO, with an abundance of sets that can be created from all 1000+ Pokemon to locations across all the Regions (such as Pokemon Centres, Gyms and iconic locations). The one thing we do know is that the first set to be released is likely going to be Pikachu, implied heavily by the imagery they've released so far.

Not only that, but as LEGO have released a multitude of LEGO-themed video games, does this mean that we'll see a LEGO Pokemon game in the future? Forget a Black & White remake, imagine the OG Pokemon games reinvented brick by digital brick! Both LEGO and Pokemon released a statement regarding their collaboration, which can be read below:

It's shocking that this wasn't announced on Pokemon Day, as this would have made the 29th anniversary of the global hit a lot more impactful - but perhaps they are saving more reveals down the line for next year's Pokemon Day. Either way, as Total Cards are stockists of both LEGO and Pokemon, we are beyond excited to potentially be able to bring LEGO Pokemon to fans across the world.

Over the weekend, we were treated to view the whole Shrouded Fable set list just in time for the run-up to release day! We can see all the English Cards that will be featured in this set, including the stunning Illustration Rares and Hyper Rares! The 10th Scarlet & Violet set has just been announced, and Team Rocket are blasting back onto the TCG scene in Destined Rivals! Releasing on the 30th of May, this set will be comprised of Japan's Hot Air Arena and The Glory of Team Rocket. This set was teased at Latin America's Gamescom event, which showed the Brazilian Portuguese logo and a selection of artwork.

As per any core set from Pokemon, we can expect the works - Booster boxes, Elite Trainer Boxes, Checklanes, 3-Pack Blisters and more. We also expect this set to be incredibly popular, especially as we're close to closing out the Scarlet & Violet era for the TCG to usher in Pokemon Legends Z-A and the return of Mega Pokemon.

We know that Destined Rivals is going to include Cynthia's Garchomp, Ethan's Ho-Oh, Giovanni's MewTwo and a selection of Team Rocket Executives and Grunts from the artwork, and can get an idea of what cards to expect with the trickling reveals from the two Japanese counterpart sets. Furthermore, we're likely to see cards included from the Japanese Marnie & Steven decks (despite them also releasing in English Language!)

The set description is as follows:

The Digimon Card Game had originated as part of the Digimon franchise, beginning in Japan in 1997. The franchise started with the release of Digital Monsters, a range of virtual pets aimed at boys in response to the popularity of Tamagotchi. Given the popularity of these virtual pets, Bandai then expanded Digimon into various media such as anime, manga, video games and a card game.

The first version of the game, named the Digital Monster Card Game, released in Japan in 1999 and lasted until 2005. The game worked similarly to the Digital Pets, where Tamers could battle each other. We've even seen elements of this in one of the more recent sets the Classic Collection, which draws inspiration for the design and mechanics of the cards from the card game's origins. We have even seen the card game featured in the anime, with Digimon Tamers focusing on the existence of the Digimon Card Game in "our world" yet the cards are more than they seem. But what is Digimon Liberator?

Digimon Liberator is a webcomic set in the future, where the Digimon Card Game has evolved into a fully immersive game allowing players to enjoy card battles in a metaverse space. Think Sword Art Online, but with Digimon. The story is entirely free to read online, and sets the stage for an intense story following Shoto Kazama and his journey through this digital world to discover the secrets from deep within.

As the Digimon Card Game in the world of Digimon Liberator is the same one we experience, of course that means we get a set! Digimon Liberator includes characters from the webcomic and their partner Digimon; Zephagamon & Shoto Kazama, Cendrillmon & Arisa Kinosaki, and HeavyMetaldramon & Yuuki. Not only that, but you will also find a new keyword <Iceclad>.

<Iceclad> is a new keyword effect that has excellent affinity with "trash a digivolution card" effects in blue decks!

Instead of DP, the Digimon with more digivolution cards will win battles with non-Security Digimon!

Use this to counter your opponent's Digimon with high DP!

There are plenty of cards to be sought after in Digimon Liberator, such as the Mega Digimon special cards, and special alternate designs. You'll also receive a random alt-art card in the Legend Pack 2024, a booster pack box-topper included inside the booster box.
