Today, Rose is sitting on the Hau'oli beach in the mid-afternoon with a parasol slung over her shoulder. She's hard at work scribbling on a fat stack of papers on a clipboard, a pink tote to her side full of what looks to be hundreds of unused great balls. On a picnic blanket she seems to have gathered an array of plants, rocks, and... piles of sand in bowls.

She'd only come to Alola for work. But for Arceus' sake why is it so hot here? She'd thrown herself into her work. This region was so close to nature, it was intoxicating. But with the heat she can't even get all of her work done without her heart going into overdrive. A swimsuit hadn't made it any better.

At this rate, she's going to have to conscript someone for the next part of the work. The work can't stop (well it could, but that's quitter talk), buuuuut she can't do the physical labor. It's purely coincidence that she sees the familiar face of the 'cookie kid'. She wonders if that mold problem still needs fixing. If so, they could help each other out. She has no idea who they are, really. A baker, a kid with a mold problem? A young person with a very cute aipom? That's about it.
