“A victorious leader plans for many eventualities before the battle; a defeated leader plans for only a few. Many options bring victory, few options bring defeat, no options at all spell disaster.”

First Memory by Louise Gluck Long ago, I was wounded. I lived to revenge myself against my father, not for what he was-- for what I was: from the beginning of time, in childhood, I thought that pain meant I was not loved. It meant I loved.
I Don't Understand
I have started on a new book, and have been told about how much depth there is to it, and true enough, after the first chapter, i set the book down and said to myself "I don't understand". and of course, at first this was frustrating. Expected and understandable, but frustrating none the less. But then I suddenly became rather happy, because I did not understand anything. I came to this conclusion that not understanding can be amazing, because that is the first step. You can't just understand something instantly, so even a true and proper understanding starts as no understanding at all. It made me happy, because this means there is no reasons to feel weighted down, or despair that I will never understand this book, because even the most adept reader started without understanding what the hell they were about to read.
