Atem knew today was going to be a bad day, once the cloud started rolling in and thunder started clapping alongside the humidity that made his normally loose harem pants stick to his skin like glue. He had that ache in the pit of his stomach that something still has yet to happen. Thick humid air, thunder and rain? There was something else hiding behind the weather.
He blew out a cloud of smoke, the unique taste of tobacco on his tongue the moment the first cicada started to hum who was followed after another and another. The Pharaoh raised an eyebrow at the noise that seemed to take over the entire city, he brought the tip back to his coral lips. Pink tongue swirling around the mouthpiece absentmindedly, was it some horn to start off a war? He snorted at the thought until a large beetle flew into his window, followed by another and another. Atem stepped away from the window, his maroon eyes narrowed at the odd sight before picking up his small box and matches.
“I feel as if I need a bottle of Raid today, I wonder where it is.” He chuckled, walking into the bathroom closet to pick up the red can before walking up to the door and slipping his sandals on. The man had a strong feeling that he knew who was behind this odd behavior, plus he did not like the idea of beetles stupidly flying into the window. He liked beetles, they were cute in a way. He unlocked and opened the front door, stepping out and sticking the kiseru between his lips to hold as his eyes looked around the city. Swarms of bugs flew in large groups, he huffed out another cloud.
“Haga..” His voice drawled out in a tired and pissy fashion, his feet took him down the stairs of the building and outside only to see green. Too much green, it looked as if the city was turned into a forest. He turned and looked around, vines and moss covered cars and streetlights while trees grew into houses and other buildings. What kind of magic is this? Atem was going to need more than one can of Raid for this oddly beautiful mess.
“I should have at least worn a shirt before leaving.” He murmured, following the trail of ants and various other creatures that lead to a large tree that was most likely in the middle of the city. This is going to be a long day.
