#MarshallTownsend2Leadership Assumptions – Assuming that you are going to grow, get better, become stronger, or become wise just by doing things is false advertising. Not sure who was selling that idea, but if you do not take time to intentionally analyze, study and reflect on the events that have happened, you will never grow. Like a body builder doing rep after rep, repeating the same thing over and over, will not grow. You must work a set and analyze the results. If you are not getting the results you expected, you change exercise, mix it up, challenge the muscles in a different way to maximize the potential for growth. This also the same, if you just cast into the water assume that a fish will bite, you will be a hungry fisherman. You must test, study, change tactics, and test again. The same is for everyone. Once you analyze the results, you must put what you learned into action. You cannot assume that you are going to grow and get better just because you know how to grow and get better. You must make the changes that lead to growth and improvement. You cannot hope, wish, buy, barter, steal, or trade for growth. Nor can you assume it is just going to happen. Learning to reflect and analyze your learning is the first lesson in growing. It’s a good start. #CoachMarshall2 .
