I love toxic mold!!!
Finally got around to finish this one. The disease plushes from left to right are brain eating amoeba, anthrax, and a toxic mold plushie. Nurglings are very fitting in the sleepy chaos series <3
I believe that Ancient Egyptian tombs really are bound by dark magic to place a curse upon any interloper foolish enough to disturb them, and the name of that curse is Toxic Mold.
Tumblr is not letting me reblog TOXIC MOLD
Let me have him, let me grow mold on my blog #mymold
Small progress update for anyone still following along: I’m now able to eat a whole scrambled egg without reacting :D
We think having the mold removed from the house has helped my immune system calm down, so I’m becoming less reactive to certain things. We also now know I was suffering from toxic mold exposure *before* we moved into the Cthulhu house, because my parents have also found huge amount of toxic mold through their house, specifically behind the walls in the attic room where I used to sleep. So basically I’ve lived my whole life with this, and never realized until we had it removed from our current house and several major symptoms started to abate. So that’s terrifying.
But also hopeful. Because maybe the better I get from this the better my MCAS will get. Fingers crossed.
Genuine question here. Has anyone ever been exposed to any type of mold for a long time, and started to develop chronic pain during the duration of you being around it?
The front part of my house has mold growing in the walls, and the heavy rain is causing it to grow on the outside of the walls in the house as well. I have lived here for three years and started to develop chronic pain symptoms about two years ago, the first year I lived here I was mainly at work or out driving constantly. My symptoms started showing after I quit my job and took a break for mental health.
If anyone has any insights, stories, or info about this, I would greatly appreciate it. It seems to me that western medicine doesn't take it seriously because mold is so expensive for insurance companies to treat, and a lot of sources I have found seem like pseudoscience kind of stuff.
I am grateful for any discussion about this, whether on this post or through DMs.
Explore the connection between haunted houses and mold. Discover how mold can cause hallucinations and fear in these eerie locations.
The post discusses the connection between haunted houses and environmental factors, particularly mold. It suggests that toxic mold, commonly found in older buildings, can produce mycotoxins that lead to hallucinations and feelings of dread. These psychological effects may explain many reported supernatural experiences, highlighting the interplay between biology and belief in hauntings.
How to Remove Mold From a Mattress Safely | The Mold Facts
Mold on a mattress is not only unpleasant but can also impact your health and indoor air quality. At The Mold Facts we recommend acting quickly to remove mold and prevent it from spreading further. Start by taking the mattress outside into direct sunlight, as UV rays naturally help kill mold spores. Vacuum the entire surface using a HEPA-filter vacuum to remove loose particles. Next, lightly spray the affected area with a mixture of white vinegar and water or rubbing alcohol—both are effective in killing mold without soaking the mattress. Allow the solution to sit for 10–15 minutes, then gently scrub the area with a soft brush. Avoid over-wetting, as excess moisture can worsen the problem.
After cleaning, let the mattress dry completely in a well-ventilated area or under the sun. You can also sprinkle baking soda over the surface to absorb odors and residual moisture, then vacuum it off after a few hours. If the mold infestation is severe or has penetrated deep into the mattress layers, replacement may be the safest option. To prevent future mold growth, always keep your sleeping area dry, use a mattress protector, and ensure proper ventilation in your room. Regular cleaning and moisture control are key to maintaining a healthy, mold-free mattress.
