Toy Fare magazine excerpts
Hobie Brown Prowler from the March '98 edition
The Spot and Spiderman from the October '98 edition
...only like three people will know what I'm talking about here, you ever think about how its a minor tragedy that Mego is now making new figures, but only after Twisted Toyfare Theatre has been dead for over a decade and thusly cannot use them for shenanigans?
Heroes of GOO JIT ZU - Moose Toys While waiting for my prescriptions at Fred Meyer I saw these anthropomorphic animal wrestler toys that expand on the Stretch Armstrong technology from the 70's and decided to snap some pics for a post. There's a 12 minute episode of a cartoon on Amazon Prime and it plus 2 more (episode 2 part 1 & 2) on Moose Toys YouTube channel. And after watching the first episode and bits of the second 2, I regret spending so much time on this post. Moose Toys really didn't go to Marvel to get them to create their mythology like Hasbro did with GI Joe and Transformers. #goojitzu #heroesofgoojitzu #moosetoys #wwe #streetsharks #rockjaw #stretcharmstrong #toyisle #toys #actionfigures #wrestling #wrestlingactionfigures #kungfu #kungfuactionfigures #toyfare #toyfair #moose #toysofinstagram #catsofinstagram #blazagon #sahario #pantaro #tygor #thrash #viper (at Fred Meyer) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9D2awSBn5j/?igshid=1as8spomugkkp
Tho, speaking of Robot Chicken, the head writers of that used to be the main original writers of Twisted Toyfare Theatre/Twisted Mego Theatre, and I gotta ask what the fuck happened there?!
Because, while Robot Chicken falls into so many of the worst excesses of “geek-parody” media, TFT/TMT was fucking hilarious back in the day. Like, it could be my nostalgia goggles talking, but at the very least “Pets Or Meat” is something that I still find hilarious to this day...
