i'll put this first: i really liked it!! it had the exact tone and energy i expected, it's very fun and heartwarming and if you haven't watched i'd def recommend

movie agnes is nothing like book agnes but i still really liked her,,, spare hand in marriage ma'am??

same with uriah actually - i actually found him slightly more sympathetic in the movie than in the book (which i'm not sure how to feel about since one of the main reasons uriah is one of my favourite characters is because he's a bastard) ben whishaw is adorable irl yet they did a GREAT job of making him slithery and unappealing (although i do miss my lanky ginger scoundrel)

dora dora dora!!! god i was fucking overjoyed that they didn't give her a horrible death like in the book..... her ending was much more fitting with the tone of the movie and i just love her so much

peter capaldi and hugh laurie stood out for me, they gave brilliant performances

once again like. it's lovely and good and a really nice quarantine watch so if you haven't seen it already go have a look 👀💕
