Hate when you have to wash something your grandma gave you and it doesn’t smell like her anymore

The Chernobyl show really puts shit into perspective. I’ve been watching all day and just walking around my house like ‘something could happen right now, everything could end.’ It’s a terrifying thought. I thought I had terrifying thoughts before but holy hell this takes the cake. Have I done anything with my life? Nope! Will I do anything with my life after watching this? Nope! It’s just all horrifically sad and unpredictable, and I’m just sitting here typing into the void.
So... I know this isn't the usual kind of post that I make but... Today, one of my two kitties, Popa, passed away due to cardiac arrest. I don't really want to talk about the details of how we found out, what happened etc. but it was just.... out of nowhere. I'm really upset and wanted to say something about him. He was my husband's childhood cat and he grew up with him, as Popa was the kitten of one of his other cats, and I'll miss him dearly.
So... I guess this is just a "I love you, Popa" post to commemorate him. He was a great kitty.

woke up at 6:30 to shower and get ready only to realise now (7:52) that class is cancelled AND NOW I’M WIDE AWAKE FOR NO REASON!
it's so fucked up that a show can just implant itself in your brain and you're not even thinking about it you watched it months ago, years even but you're sitting on the bus on your way home from grocery shopping and the shitty little music app in your phone autoplays a random song and you're now crying because they had this song on the show and oh gods. oh gods the show.
